BACKSTORY.

I was given a project to work on for sale - a large cement manufacturing plant.

I conducted an expert assessment of the value of the asset, prepared the return on investment calculations, identified the area of potential clients, sent them letters and began to actively negotiate with the top Officials of the purchasing companies.

Representative of one of the respected companies, for whom the acquisition will be a clear advantage in the market, tells me in a phone conversation that she is not ready to arrive to a meeting in the Towers - “My time spent on the road is worth more, than your multi-million dollar plant.”...

The director of my department was furious, I felt funny and embarrassed, but what I understood clearly is:
▪️know business ethics, otherwise with one phrase, like this woman, you will humiliate yourself as a professional;
▪️know how to keep your face;
▪️know your value and the value of the product so that such situations do not unsettle you (and in big business such situations are a practice).
