Good-bye Venice! I have so many photos to share, but I’ve had no time to do so! I’ve been in a 5-day intensive course on Murano with 10 other glass artists from all over the world. We spent most of the week immersed in torch work, glass, and art. My heart and mind are so full, almost overflowing. We went to the Venice Biennale, Burano, the History of Glass Museum, the Guggenheim and one of our final moments was on the terrace of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi overlooking Venice. I had an amazing week with wonderful, warm people. Creative magic everywhere. Photos to come:)

Hello, old friend. I unpacked my torch today! I’ve had this torch since 2002 when I upgraded from a HotHead single fuel torch. This is a Nortel Minor surface mix (propane and oxygen) torch. It burns at about 950° Celsius (1740°F). In 2017 I bought a Bethlehem Bravo torch which I have yet to use as I need a larger oxygen concentrator (and potentially an oxygen tank). I’ve spent years (and most birthdays and Christmas) collecting equipment, tools, supplies. All for the love of glass.

Now for the unpacking, cleaning and organizing! It’s all so dirty/dusty after 3 years in storage!

Slowly, slowly building the glass studio! Getting help whenever I can.

This amazing photo! Which I recently stumbled upon again. Which reminds me of sunshine and wind on Venice Beach, coconut frozen yogurt, and an impromptu photo shoot with my EJ. I currently don’t have access to my studio, so I’m not posting pieces for sell as I don’t have the ability to adjust, customize or just polish up pieces🤷🏽‍♀️. Soon. I’m as anxious as you are! Lampworked and kiln formed glass pieces set in fine and sterling silver rings.

I wore these together yesterday and I loved their contrast. The ring is an etched lampworked then kiln-formed crocus, gold pink cabachon set in fine and sterling silver on a jaunty angle. The medallion is a perfectly shiny, perfectly round aqua beauty which reminds me of summer on the Côte d’Azur. @ Monaco
