The Founding of the Perdicaris Park in Tangier
Today, the “Place of Nightingales” is better known as “Perdicaris Park.” This 70 hectacre park, once the playground of Perdicaris, boast hundreds of Eucalyptus trees from Australia, introduced in 1919, as well as California, Canary and Coconut palm trees.

Born in Greece in 1840 to the American ambassador and his wife, Perdicaris grew up mostly in New Jersey in the United States and was an American citizen.
He had been living in Tangier since the 1870s.

The ksar of Ait-ben-Haddou is a ksar in Morocco, located in the province of Ouarzazate.
It is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
