Restoring vintage furniture and decorative pieces at our farmhouse back in the woods. (Or as the cool kids say, "upcycling")

If we paint it, that means the piece needs paint to be used functionally in the home or workspace. We respect the craftsmanship of the past, which means that we do our best to find diamonds in the rough - currently lumps of coal - and turn them into something useful and beautiful again. That is what we do in all areas at the farmhouse - we look for useful old things to reuse and renew in the modern era.

A china hutch repurposed as uppers and lowers!! Pure brilliance. These sell incredibly cheaply at the ReStore. Add some paint and handyman skills and BOOM!! Via Jill Bertoni

My grandmother gave me this butterfly square made from flour sacks. I glazed the frame to darken it.

I bought this letter, but it was just made out of plywood. Now it looks cool!

Working on a desk for my son who is college bound and has decided he wants his old desk to be painted! The desk is being painted with black + Websters and the drawers are being left unwaxed as chalkboards.

Using wrought iron indoors? Yes, please! A "new" plant stand for the farmhouse.

We decided that white walls and blue French doors should happen. So it did. Websters + paint = rustic painted doors at the Farmhouse. I think pictures at night will turn out better.

Distressing this piece is pretty easy since it pretty much came pre-distressed!

It's hard to describe how much I love this! Shout out to Websters!
