The International Cricket Council (ICC) has invited LCA to compete in the ICC Men's World Cup Sub Regional Qualifiers to be staged in Kigali Rwanda. The activity will run from the 17th to 25th November 2022. Furthermore, we will provide more detail regarding the activity in due course.

On 15/10/2022 the LCA staged a one day Cricket Festival at Cana P.S. oval with at least seven (7) primary schools participating: Cana, Thota-Peli, Mokhehle, St. David, Ts'ekelo L.E.C.S.A., Ts'ekelo R.C. and Masoeling P.S.
Furthermore, It is in this activity whereby the LCA managed to respond to lack of equipment in schools by providing a ball and two (2) bats to each participating school. However, Thota-Peli and Masoeling P.S. both received a mini cricket kit as they did not possess any playing equipment.

The following primary schools: Lenea, Mokhehle,'Mantoetse, Cana,T.y. Eng. Med, Phoofolo, St David and Thota-Peli competed/battled in the U/12 CHAMPIONSHIP that was played at Lenea primary ground on the 27th - 29th May 2022. The activity comprised of both boys and girls teams showcasing their talent.

Six (6) primary schools in the Mohale's Hoek district participated in the Grass-roots activity aimed at furnishing kids with cricketing aptitudes as well as giving them First fun experience of the game of cricket.

The Lesotho Cricket Association has distributed five (5) mobile nets as a way of affording our athletes better playing standards as well as to assist in skill acquiring during rehearsals. SAFETY of our athletes is always our priority so the nets also play a pivotal role in reducing risks during training sessions.

The nets have been distributed to the following destinations:

1. Butha-Buthe-Soofia International School
2. Leribe-Hlotse high school
3. Mohale's Hoek- St. Stephen's high school
4. Maseru-Lesotho high school & Maseru private academy

Note: One remaining net will be stationed in Berea @ Thakaneng Youth Resource Centre and will be the last net for the year 2022.
