REST IN PEACE FATHER

A moment of profound sorrow unfolded in the Church last Sunday.

In Wiesmath (district of Wiener Neustadt), the much-loved parish priest, Raimund Beisteiner, suddenly collapsed during Holy Mass, just as he was returning the consecrated Hosts to the tabernacle.

Despite immediate assistance, his life could not be saved. He passed away shortly afterward inside the church, in the presence of the faithful — a deeply painful and shocking moment for all who were there.

We commend his soul to the infinite mercy of God and invite everyone to unite in prayer:
for his eternal rest.

IT WAS A TRAGIDY
The compassionate Family sympathize with those families in Ghana who lost their loves ones in a road accident. The 14 that have died we say may their souls rest in peace. And those that are still in the hospital fighting for their lives, we wish them quick recovery. Amen

MARY, MOTHER OF GOD

The Octave Day of Christmas
Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God

On this first day of the New Year, the Church invites us to pause, not to make noise, but to contemplate. We begin 2026 not with plans and resolutions, but by gazing upon Mary, the Mother of God—a woman of faith, silence, courage, and trust.

Mary teaches us that God enters history not through power or spectacle, but through humble obedience. She did not fully understand the road ahead, yet she said yes. As a mother, she carried God in her womb; as a disciple, she carried God in her heart. On this Octave Day of Christmas, we are reminded that Christ comes to us through Mary’s openness, her patience, and her unwavering trust in God’s promises.

The Gospel tells us that Mary “treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart.” At the threshold of a new year, this is a powerful invitation. Before rushing forward, we are called to reflect—to hold our experiences, joys, wounds, and hopes gently before God. Mary shows us that reflection is not weakness; it is wisdom.

This solemnity also proclaims a profound truth: God chose to need a mother. In Mary, heaven embraced humanity. In her, God affirmed the dignity of every woman, every mother, every caregiver, and every life born into vulnerability. As Mother of God and Mother of the Church, Mary continues to accompany us, especially in moments of uncertainty and quiet struggle.

As we step into 2026, Mary invites us to:
• Trust God even when the future is unclear,
• Walk in faith rather than fear,
• Carry Christ into the world through love, humility, and service.

Let us place this new year under her maternal care. May Mary teach us to say yes again—to God’s will, to compassion, to peace, and to hope.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
May 2026 be a year where Christ is born anew in our hearts and revealed through our lives.
