Amid rising harsh winter conditions, Trans Vanguard, through its Sparkle Clean & Recycle (SC&R) initiative in partnership with Woolworths, supported 171 people in Ha Thetsane Lekhahlong with clothing, shoes, blankets, and essential household items to uphold dignity, social protection, and equitable access to basic needs. The initiative promoted human rights and inclusion by prioritizing children, women, persons with disabilities, and low-income households affected by seasonal hardships. Through recycling and upcycling textile waste into reusable household products, the programme also advanced climate action, environmental sustainability, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience while reducing waste and encouraging sustainable community-based coping mechanisms and livelihood support initiatives.
