Lighting is everything, it should never be an afterthought. You can have all the best furniture and best everything, if you don't have proper lighting you can't see anything. Not everybody can afford to rip up floor boards and install new lighting, you can therefore buy some little lights and put them behind objects.

Neutral Colour Schemes
What is your view on neutral colour schemes? Do you find them soothing and harmonious? Or the very idea of having to spend your days in a space with no colour makes you want to scream eeeww!!! that's boring and dull, not to mention monotonous!

Truth is, colour schemes build entirely around neutrals such as taupes, creams, greys.... form basics for any interiors. You can add any splash of colour and it works brilliantly. Create some depth and character by using patterns, textures, different shades and a good accent colour.
