Archives of an Unforgettable Night.
NULAC inauguration. 🤲Asking for another one. I've got some new works fo display.

24/03/2026

The biggest Gift gave me was inviting me to the NULAC inauguration event. I found a part of me that was laying dormant, beseeching me to awake it. My creativity writhed at the reality that I, its creator did not boldly claim it.

Tha day, I caste away that shame and displayed my work. And with the support of .ls as well, I was able to break away from, in hindsight, a miserable way of viewing my own creativity.

This video is a testament to this new found growth, and a commitment to this new way of life. Enjoy it! I'm going back to drawing right now.

Where do I even begin…
The Humanities get looked down on a lot, mostly because people don’t fully understand what they offer. But there’s a reason it’s called Humanities... it’s about us. About understanding the human experience, questioning it, breaking it down, and rebuilding it with deeper meaning. And for me, it reflects in my ART as well.

And I’ll say it with my chest: this faculty is one of the best things to happen to this university. And yes — there is real mosebetsi here. Real application. Real impact.
Our trips to Thaba Bosiu and Sehlaba-Thebe were more than just excursions. They were experiences. Through our Expressive Therapies course, we got to see therapy in practice… and honestly, we came back with more than we expected.

Meeting Damo De Meria, a sound therapist working at Thaba Bosiu cultural village, was a highlight. The way he blends sound, environment, and traditional Basotho elements into therapy? Powerful. It really showed how deeply psychology and art intersect and how much potential there is in spaces we often overlook.
There’s so much I could say about that day… but I’ll leave it here.

One thing I know for sure: what I’m learning in this space is going to stay with me for life.
Maybe what we need right now isn’t less Humanities…. Maybe we need more humanity.

The past two weeks have been the most eventful in my life. So much so that I've barely had time for myself or my friends. But it all paid off!

Here's a gold medal for an outstanding performance! And the team brought back a huge ass trophy at our first intervarsity, champions have truly been reborn.

As for all the other events that happened, brace yourself... I still have more to report. For now, we celebrate!

Its on weathers like this that I really flourish creatively because my creativity is greatly dependent on my emotions. Then again, this article isn't fuelled by the weather. No! This is fuelled by an injustice to who I am. I am under the weather because I have been lied to, you too, you have been lied to.

It's a blue Monday, not because of the rain or the fact that it's actually Monday. It's a blue Monday because I burst a vein when researching colonization and African culture, and got bluer when I married the two and saw horrors that happened to the children. There is no way this marriage was consensual, no way this marriage was for both the groom and the bride. There is one party that took, and took, and took... and now, the children bear the weight of a terribly abusive home.

"The discourse around colonialism infuriates me just as much as it gives me purpose."

I'm knee deep in muddy puddles because of the rain, it's been raining ever since slavery was a thing, I yearned and craved for the sun back then, I still do now. There are rays shining through here and there, and I see flowers growing where they touch. On this blue Monday, I attempt to make way for the sun, just like Leoma David Monaheng has been doing for years now, and will continue to do on March 1st at Recharge. Check out Bold Digital for more information.

I wrote this Article because of my newly found Pan-African disposition and an unfolding patronage to act upon my disappointment and seething anger towards how I grew up, how we all grew up. Re Basotho in name only, Re ma-Africa for the purposes of filing only, to fit into little shelves and be locatable when need be by westerners. I'm angry and don't know what to do with my anger, so I wrote this article.

I will post it tomorrow at 5 o'clock on Pat&Rex Soul Stories website, on my Medium and Substack accounts... and I will further make attempts to put on various magazines.

Please look forward to it. For now, check out my my work. You may like what you find.
