That week went well for Thato. Though she made lot of enemies from her senior students who felt threatened by her visit to the doctors office. Poor girl, she only went to his office when she was sent, not for what was running through their tiny minds.

She actually enjoyed seeing them so moody. Saturday came and she went to the hospital. She attended two surgeries before lunch and one was done by Dr Nkesi, and the other one was done by a cardiologist. She witnessed how the real beating human heart looked like, and thanks to the physiology and anatomy classes she attended she actually understood the process.

During lunch time, Thato visited her patient. She walked in and he was awake. He sighed and looked at her as his face lit up. More like he has been waiting for this moment right here.

Thato:Fr Mopeli
Fr: so you were listening! (Smiled) that on it's own carry so much satisfaction.
Thato: (approached and took a sit next to the bed.) You look much better, I hope you feel the same...

What a tricky phrase that was. He sighed, cleared his throat and said, "that my dear is beyond my limits. One's feelings are indeed affected by the surrounding and external factors as much as one will wish so much to expel certain sensations, with the attention I'm getting I to be no where but here at the moment." This was rather the unexpected response. Thato gazed at him and sighed. She handed him a plastic of different fruits. "I've noticed you haven't gotten any visitors yet. Any close family or friend?" Father pretended not to head what Thato said.

He picked out a red apple out of the of the plastic bag. Held it up before him, "This for the heart..." His eyes still pinned on the apple. "Uh?" Said Thato confused. He then continue, "the red apple, shaped like a human heart."
"Oh! Now that you mentioned it, I now see it." Indeed it looked more or less like a real heart. Thato nodded in agreement, and he continued...

These two young girls spent the afternoon together and learnt so much about each other. Thato finally understood why Lerato is always out on every chance she get. Why she drank herself to sleep and why she mingle so much with different dudes. She was actually surprised that no one came home with her ever since she met Lereko. And he was the first guy to actually stick a for more than a day.

Lerato actually grew up in a broken home, her mother used to work men. She will go with whoever had more cash to spend on her and never really cared about school. She only started school after her grandmother took her in and raised her. Her grandmother's last born, her aunty, was a pain in the ass. She used to enslave her in her grandmother's absence. The only person that treated her right was her grandmother.

Her aunty used to make her work and bit her while her aunty's kids had it easy and did as they liked. She would clean after them and get sidelined on certain things.

Let me mention that her aunt can back with two kids from her marriage, both girls. The older one two weeks older than Lerato. She used to blame Lerato for every misbehaviour and naughtiness she made and Lerato would be published for it without any questions.

After her grandmother passed away things got worse. She had to move back to her mother but lucky enough her grandmother secured scholarship for her high school before she passed away. She was in grade 6 when her grandmother passed. Only moved in with her mother when she started middle school.

Only then did her mother started paying attention to her, but it was hard to bond right away due to the life her mother chose. Her mother later looked for a decent job and bordered her a rental near school campus. This was when she was in grade 10 (also known as Form C). She lived alone until she completed high school. And she is in tertiary doing her second year in BCOM (Bachelor of Arts in Economics)

That day Lerato didn't show up at all until she was brought in early in the morning by Lereko. She was too drank to even say one word out loud clearly. After laying her on the bed, he didn't leave but looked at her pitifully. "I hope you were man enough not to force yourself on her while she was black out." Said Thato.
"I'm her boyfriend for Good's sake. What do you take me for?"

Instead of leaving, he pulled a chair on the study table and set down. "Lerato needs help, and she doesn't want to open up to me. I really don't know how to help her... I really don't." He swallowed hard trying to hold himself together, "Please talk to her when you get a chance, maybe she will open up to you."

Thato; Well,we are just roommates, we're not that close.
Lereko; Being roommates have to make you family, that's how you survive all these. Unless girls are different in such matters.

There was silence afterwards. Thato scratch her head and nodded in agreement to what she just heard. She never actually viewed it that way. Lereko is right, she should have tried to connect with her and understand her than to judge her. "I'll talk to her when she wakes up". "Thank you, I'll come and check on her later on" after saying this, Lereko walked out.

After some time, Lerato woke up. "Damn! My head hurts."
"Hey"
"Don't start with me please, I got no energy for that."
"Can I get you anything? I was about to make myself some coffee." Before Lerato could respond, she stood up to boil some water. "How do you want it, black or milky? How many sugars?"
"What's with the questions, just pour me the damn thing." Thato handed her a cup and set next to her. "Thanks"

Right before she could put the cup on her lips "Wait a minute, are you trying to poison me? Because if you do... Hmk!..." Thato laughed in response. "... You're unusually nice to me. What changed?"
"I've just realised that I was a bad roommate to you and you don't deserve that.

Interrupting her thoughts was her talkative roommate Lerato. Who came in walking backwards with a boy all over her. They started un******ng and throwing their clothes all over the place the minutes they were inside. Thato coughed from her bed where she was sitting.

They both jumped with fright, "Oh goodness! You almost gave me a heart attack." Said the guy, now addressing Lerato. "Didn't you say she wasn't around?" They started collecting they clothes and getting dressed. "Well, she wasn't here when I left and it was pretty late." Replied Lerato. "Sorry to ruin your party guys, you can always take it to his room." Thato suggested. The guy started apologizing, but Lerato interrupted. "It's not his fault, I'm really sorry Thato. The thing is, you never say when you're not coming back so I assumed you weren't coming back today since it was already late."
"It's okay, nothing really happened so it cool. No biggie..."

"Anyway, this is Lereko..." She finally introduced him, "...and this is Thato."
"Hey, nice to meet." Lereko walked towards Thato and stretched out his hand for a hand shake. "I'm not touching that, who knows where it have been in the past few minutes." Lerato gave here a look, "What? We can't pretend that didn't happen."

"Maybe I should leave."
"Babe!.." Lereko gave Lerato a light kiss and walked out. "Don't say anything please..." Say Lerato throwing herself on her bed.

They went to sleep, and the next came in spit of time. It was Friday and most were already planning parties, but Lerato on the other hand wanted nothing but to be back in hospital. She went to classes and back to her dome.

Then she thought of going to the hospital, so she did. At the reception she ask about her supervisor, then she went to see her. She asked if she could come on weekends too. Before she head out, she stopped by that patient's room, he was still unconscious but looked fine.

Have you noticed how hard it is to be obedient on the matters of love. You act so stupid and justify it with just one word, "love". It's short and simple but always difficult. It's cherished by many, wanted and hated by others.

To give you a clear picture, I'll start this story a little bit earlier in time when everything was just fine. Thato was quite a beautiful young lady, well spoken, by deeds and personality alike. Like any other girls from her village, she attended a public school in her village from primary level to high school.

She was rated among the best performers in her schools. She even won a best performance award in her high school. Her teachers all gave different career advice based on their fields. She actually qualified for most fields offered in the Tertiary institutions around the country.

Lucky for her she had her head and mind fix on one career path; she always wanted to safe lives, and applied for General Nursing course in the National university of Lesotho.

She did well there too despite the challenges that came with that place. Not forgetting the freedom it offers. It was her first time living alone, so it took her some time to actually get comfortable with it.

She did try new things and also lost her virginity too. One time she was doing her attachment at the hospital there around Roma, just like any other nursing student do in their second year. She was on duty with a senior nurse, and everything was just fine.

She was about to knock off when the emergency call came in and she had to help. There was a patient, in very critical state. He had a broken right hand and leg, a broken rib and internal bleeding. His lungs were slowly failing too but the paramedics did their best to keep him alive.

He was taken to Intensive Care Unit at once and attended immediately though it was after working hours. This was her lucky day since only senior student's, that is 4th years were allowed in the ICU. Check the comments

Hey beautiful people. I've been out for some time, but I'm back and I feel like writing a nice poem.

Relationships are not meant to rule out your existing personal and social life. You still have to have life out side of your romantic relationships and the two mustn't interfere with each other. Learn to balance them as they will balance your life...

The year has ended and the new one begins, yet the sun rise and set as usual. Life too has to continue, some died, while some we born. Some just started living while other's world came crushing on them. Some just found they silver lining while others just entered the storm, one thing remains intact, LIFE. Life must continue despite the circumstances...

To live the life you want, you first have to leave the one you have. Get out of that comfort zone and start making things happen...

We may say all sort of words, deny the obvious reality but it will always digest us from the inside. Love when bottled can damage because you will be pretending most of the time though the flames in you keep growing wild every instant. You will be procrastinating behind the closed doors with expectations but without taking action. The moment you that certain person with someone, your mind will do the most. Imagining the possibility that might not even exist, which in turn might manifest itself either into anger, hate or sadness...

So do yourself a favor, the worst they can say is NO. But when you don't come forward about it the answer is obvious...

Have you realised that most of the "real" moments are rarely caught on camera?

Here is what I mean: once you're truly happy, you forget to tell the world at that instance because you're to occupied and caught up in the moment that you shut out the external influences. You don't really mind if someone sees you or not. But the moment you're not so happy yet want to appear happy, you show it to the world. Trying to prove to everyone that you're happy, you constantly check who saw your stories and how they reacted.

Happiness has its way of manifesting itself in us and when it does, nobody's opinion really matter much... Especially if they don't contribute to you happiness...

You attract to you what you think of the most. So let love be food to your mind and heart until in outgrow to your surroundings.

Most love stories began with a compliment...

Love is indeed beautiful, but if it's one sided, it can be hurtful. But unfortunately we don't choose who we fall for.
We can only suppress the feelings for so long but eventually they will bust and break you. The sad reality is that the ones we love are bud loving someone else that might also be loving other person.

They lied to you if they ever claimed that love does not need money. Unlike in the old ages before monitory system, now everything worth some amount. Those little gift require money, and you also need to eat and appear representable.

You can get a partner that is not yet where they want to be and grow together. But they must have something driving them to success.

Remember it is definitely not your fault to be born in a poor family, but it is your responsibility to make sure you live a better life than you parents did...

Even the most funniest joke to a broken person can be harmful. That's why it is very important to select your words carefully, making sure they are necessary and can help the situation... You can't joke about pregnancy to someone who just had a miscarriage, you can be joking about cash to unemployed straggling person, those are just few scenarios to give you a clear picture of what I'm talking about...

Now, let's look at "forgiveness". One of the hardest yet most relevant and healing aspect.

One you have put in mind is that, when you forgive, you do it for yourself not necessarily the next person. He might not even know he stepped on your toe. But when you decide to forgive, you set yourself free from the burden you were carrying. You open space for the good that will come your way since there is now an empty sit.

One thing that you might have noticed is that when you haven't forgiven someone, even the good deeds he did start to slowly fate and replaced by the new vision you created in your head about thus particular person.

Loving you doesn't mean I won't hurt you, and hurting you doesn't mean I don't love you...

The moment you find yourself cleaning after your partner without complaining, and they do the same, you know you found the one...

Love does not die or fate away... With the right fuel the flames will go wild again. With the wrong fuel, it becomes dangerous, it can even transform into hate... It's more like energy, it just changes forms based on the factors surrounding it. Be aware of your environment, does it nature your love or threatens it?
