Director of Nutrition and Home Economics ‘Me Makamohelo Semoli from Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition visited Growing Nations, her main purpose of visit was to encourage us, to hear our success stories and challenges.. we feel honored when the government recognizes the importance of our work among Basotho farmers.

Our Students have completed one year training from Growing Nations through Resident Students Program. This is a two year training whereby they spend the first year training at Growing Nations. Then they spend the second year at home putting into practice all the knowledge, skills and experience they learned from Growing Nations. They are trained on:
1. Conversation Agriculture (Farming God's Way)
2. Transformational Development
3.Vegetables production
4. Agri Business and Marketing
5. Leadership.
Let's all pray for them that they will be able to demonstrate Farming God's and train other people in their communities and also make a living through farming. This group of young people come from different districts in Lesotho.

The Students from Stellenbosch University spend two weeks at Growing Nations. The purpose for their visit was to help Growing Nations team by harvesting maize on the fields and learned the Basotho Culture by been part of our Youth and Children Ministry whereby they had time to share the gospel, play games with the kids and play soccer with the local team in our community. Thank you very much Stellenbosch University for sharing love with our community. You are such a great blessing for us. May God Bless you All. Looking forward to see you again next year

Before our Students go back to their communities they took an Educational trip to Maseru to network and add more farming knowledge, so on the 11&12 June 2026 they visited:
1. Rasekoele Investment (RAIN Farm) to learn about Tunnel and Shade-Net Farming.
2. Foso Hardware- an Agro-Dealer in Berea.
3. Mine Workers Development Agency - to learn about Seedlings Production.
4. Department of Agricultural Research- to learn about quality Seed Selection and Sweet Potato Production.
Soon they will be returning back to their homes in order to start their own agribusinesses so that they can participate into Lesotho's Economic Activities.

The shortage of jobs in Lesotho has resulted in a massive number of youth being neither in employment, education, nor training how ever Growing Nations with its programs is trying help the youth to participate in Economic activities. on June 8-9 we hosted the youth from Mokhotlong, BothaButhe, Leribe, Maseru, Mafeteng, M-Hoek, Quthing to be interviewed in order to participate on our Program.. it is our wish to admit all of them but the funds do not allow us. 'When the youth are Capacitated, the country’s development challenges are transformed into opportunities.'
