El Clasico: Barcelona to celebrate rapper Drake with special shirts against Real Madrid

Barcelona will celebrate Drake becoming the first artist to surpass 50 billion streams on Spotify by wearing a special shirt against Real Madrid on Sunday.

The La Liga giants are sponsored by Spotify but will replace the streaming service's logo with the OVO owl logo of the Canadian rapper for El Clasico.

It is part of Barcelona and Spotify's strategic aim to "bring football and music together".

"This doesn't feel real but it is," 35-year-old Drake said on Instagram.

Xavi's side will wear the special shirts with the four-time Grammy Award winner's brand logo during the match, but for the warm-up will wear shirts depicting the Spotify logo on the front and 'Drake 50' on the back.

"Our alliance with Spotify goes beyond a mere commercial relationship. It is a strategic relationship through which we seek to bring together two worlds that can arouse emotion - namely music and football," said Juli Guiu, Barcelona's marketing vice-president.

"This initiative is another example of this desire and the innovative spirit of our collaboration.

"For the first time in our history, we are replacing the name of our main sponsor on the front of the jersey with an internationally acclaimed artist, Drake.

"This initiative shows our potential to become a unique platform to offer experiences that help bring us closer to our fans while reaching out to new audiences around the world."

The women football Committee of Maryland FA is hosting a pre-season tournament beginning on Saturday, August 28, 2021 @ the Martha Tubman Stafium.

Participating clubs are:

There will be first time appearance by CUPA Queens FC and Paul FC on September 4, 2021.

Over Fifty Clubs Relegated To Mass Football Across Montserrado

More than fifty clubs have been relegated from the Community League to a newly formulated competition called MASS FOOTBALL following the closure of the 2020/2021 League season.

Clubs who were at the bottom of their respective Subcommittee league table have been sent to MASS FOOTBALL following appeal from stakeholders.

Previously, those clubs were to be relegated to Non-division without any credence of registering into any Subcommittee.

However, those clubs involved must meet the following requirements to participate in MASS FOOTBALL LEAGUE in the 2021/2022 Season:
1. Article of Incorporation
2. Bank Statement
3. Logo
4. National ID Cards for players
5. Application letter to participate in the MASS FOOTBALL League
6. Valid Business Registration
7. Clubs must enroll into the LFA Connect System

Meanwhile, the registration fees is L$10,000 and the deadline is October 1, 2021.
