February 25 Devotion: Put the Ways of Childhood Behind Us
“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.”
1 Corinthians 13:11
In 1 Corinthians 13:11, Paul reminds us that as we grow and mature, we must leave behind the ways of childhood. This is true not only in our physical development, but also in our spiritual growth as Christians.
As children, we may have had a simplistic understanding of God and our faith. We may have thought that as long as we believed in Jesus and followed a set of rules, everything would be okay. But as we grow and mature in our faith, we come to understand that our relationship with God is much more complex and nuanced.
As we mature, we begin to understand that our faith is not just about believing in certain doctrines or following certain rules. Instead, it is about developing a deep and personal relationship with God through prayer and study of His word. We come to understand that our faith is not just about what we do, but about who we are becoming in Christ.
Furthermore, as we grow in our faith, we also come to understand the importance of putting the ways of the world behind us. Just as we put away the toys of our childhood, we must also put away the sins and temptations that so easily entangle us. We must strive to become more like Christ each day, putting to death the old self and allowing the Spirit to renew us.
As we mature in our faith, we must leave behind the ways of childhood and strive to become more like Christ. This involves developing a deeper and more personal relationship with God, and putting away the sins and temptations of the world.
May we all continue to grow in our faith and become more like Christ each day.
Lord, help us to put away the ways of childhood and become more like you. Guide us in developing a deeper and more personal relationship with you through prayer and study of your word. Give us the strength to resist the sins and temptations of the world, and renew our hearts and minds with your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen

February 24 Devotion: When Completeness Comes
“but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.”
1 Corinthians 13:10
“but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears." This verse from 1 Corinthians 13:10 reminds us that our understanding and experiences in this life are not complete. We see through a glass dimly, as Paul puts it in the same chapter. But one day, when completeness comes, all that is partial and incomplete will disappear, and we will see Him face to face.
As Kingdom Citizens, it can be easy to focus on our current struggles and inadequacies. We may feel like we are constantly falling short of the standard that God has set for us. But this verse reminds us that our time on earth is temporary and that one day, in the presence of God, all of our shortcomings will disappear.
It can be hard to wait for completeness to come and to trust in the promises of God. But it is important to remember that God is always with us and that He is working in our lives, even when we can't see it. He is molding us and shaping us into the people He created us to be.
One way to trust in the promises of God is to focus on the things that are eternal. In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells us to "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." (Matthew 6:20) As we do this, we will start to see that our focus shifts away from the things of this world and towards the things that truly matter.
We must trust in the promises of God, focus on the things that are eternal, and allow God to mold us into the people He created us to be.
May you find peace in knowing that one day completeness will come, and all that is in part will disappear.
Heavenly Father, as we trust in Your promises, help us to focus on the things that are eternal. Remind us that our time on earth is temporary and that one day all of our shortcomings will disappear in Your presence. Mold us and shape us into the people You created us to be. Give us the strength to wait for completeness to come. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hmmmm so sad
I woke up to the terrible news that the home of one of my beloved professors at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law had been broken into by armed men last night. This was the third attempt in less than a month.
Former Chief Justice Madam Gloria Musu Scott's daughter was stabbed to death, and another is in critical condition as a result.
This terrible tradegedy could have been prevented. I condemn the brutal attacks and call on the Liberian government to take measures to apprehend the perpetrators and increase efforts to provide adequate protection for all citizens.

February 23 Devotion : We Know in Part
“For we know in part and we prophesy in part,”
1 Corinthians 13:9
We only know in part. We can never understand everything in full. God is not human. His ways are above our ways, His thoughts are above our thoughts, and His plans are better than ours. As humans, we are limited in what we can know and understand.
God reveals things to us in part, preparing us for the day when all we will see is Him. The complete One will be right in front of us in all of His majesty and glory.
When everything else, good and bad, fades away, all that will stand is Love Himself.
Seek a greater revelation of who He is, not just for knowledge or to say that you have it all figured out. Seek a greater revelation of who He is out of love.
Humble yourself: You do not have all the answers or knowledge, and you never will. Let God be God.
Move in what He gives in part until His glorious return: As He reveals things to you, apply them and share them with those around you.
Father, I cannot wait for Your glorious return. One day everything in part will pass away, and all that will stand is You. Love will be complete, and I will see You face to face. Help me get ready for Your return by learning more about You, loving those around me, and worshiping You in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 22 Devotion: Love will Stand
“But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
1 Corinthians 13:8
All that we know will one day pass away. All that will stay standing is our beautiful God. The One who never changes or passes away. The One who created everything and loves us each individually. Our wonderful Father and great Defender.
Prophecies will one day cease because we will be standing face-to-face with Him, and it will no longer be needed. Tongues will be stilled because we will be in His presence, and they will no longer be needed. Knowledge will pass away when all we see is Him. All of these are good things, but they are not Him. They are pointing to Him.
When we are standing face to face with Him, we won’t need to be pointed to Him any longer; we will be overwhelmed by His glorious presence. All we will need is Him. In the end, only Love will stand.
Here are some ways we can apply this verse to our lives today:
1. Drop our anxieties about today.
2. Focus on eternal things.
3. Press into what He has for you.
Father, thank You that one day I will be face to face with You. I won’t need anything pointing me to You because I will be fully with You forever. I cannot wait for that day. Help me focus on heavenly things while I wait for Your glorious return. I want to press into You like never before. In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 21 Devotion: Love Never Fails
“Love never fails.”
1 Corinthians 13:8
Love never fails, love never lets us down, and love never leaves us. But, we have been let down, we have been rejected, and we have been failed—all by people who have said that they loved us. People will always fail us, but God, who is love, never will. It can be easy to project other people's faults onto God without even realizing it.
We project because it is what we know and what we have experienced. We don’t intentionally project; it is a natural response. We project to set boundaries and protect ourselves from getting hurt again.
God is love, and no matter how often people have let us down, He never will. Love like that is hard to comprehend and understand.
The more time we spend with God and learn about Him, the easier it will become to trust that He will never fail us or let us down. Trust like that comes from relationships and knowing Him. It does not happen overnight.
Do you believe that God’s love will never fail you?
Ask Him to help you understand that His love is for you and will never let you down.
Your love never fails. Help me not just read that as a verse, but help me believe it deep into my core. I know Your word is true and that You are not like people. You will not hurt me or fail me. You are always there, and I am thankful that Your love has never failed me. In Jesus’ name, amen 🙏

2 Created to lead in our area of gifting
3. Created to master a natural skill
Find out what is your natural skill. Refine it and serve it to the world and the world will pay you for it.
You have to master your domain.
When you master your gift it attracts its own provisions ..
Your domain is your purpose; what you were born to do. It's your seed for business
To become a leader in an area, u must become a slave. (i.e Sacrificing in mastering your gift)

February 20 Devotion: Love Always Perseveres
“Always perseveres.”
1 Corinthians 13:7
Love does not give up. It always perseveres and stands firm. To persevere means to continue on a course of action, even in the face of difficulty. No matter how things look and even if a situation seems impossible, love does not give up.
Perseverance is not easy; it requires endurance and love. When we truly love someone or something, we can go through a lot because that love inside us makes it worth it. Remember all that Jesus went through for us? He emptied Himself, came as a baby and lived as a human to the very ones He created. He persevered through the beatings, insults, and being nailed to the cross. He did not have to go through all of that. He did not have to stay on the cross. He chose to. He decided to persevere and go through all that He did because of His love for us.
How can we always persevere?
Keep Jesus as our focus. When we remember what He went through for us, we can persevere through whatever we are facing if we rely on Him. Remembering His sacrifice and His love being displayed inspires us to keep going. Anything that we face will never compare with what He did and what He went through.
When we persevere and press on through our circumstances, we become more like Jesus.
Thank You, Father, for sending Jesus to be love in the flesh. He was beaten, bruised, and nailed for me. Yet, His love persevered. Help me be one who perseveres and never gives up on following and obeying Him. Hs is worth any cost. In Jesus’ name, amen.

February 19 Devotion : Love Always Hopes
“Always hopes,”
1 Corinthians 13:7
Hope is powerful. Hope helps us persevere and press on when things are difficult. When we have hope in a situation, we will make it through, but without hope, or if we lose hope, it’s harder to press on and can make it impossible to make it through.
Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. When our circumstances or situations look dark, and it feels like nothing is going right, hope is that expectation that the season will pass and that you will make it through. Hope believes that no matter what happens, eventually, we will be in our Father's glorious presence for all of eternity. Everything that we face and are facing is temporary and will pass away.
How do we always have hope?
1. Have hope in God and His word: Know God’s word so you can believe it and allow it to stir up hope in your heart.
2. Hope in people: Expect the best in the people around you. Many times people will do what we expect them to do. If we expect them to fail and let us down, they will. But, if we believe the best in them and hope for their transformation, they will rise up because someone believes in them.
Father, help me to always have my hope in You and not in what is going on around me. I can always hope in You because You are true and faithful, and You always mean what You say. I also want to have hope in those around me. Help me see people the way You see them and hope in what You have over their lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For Immediate Release
A little over 3 years ago, we joined forces to build what ultimately became one of the biggest platforms in the Liberian media landscape. We build bridges of trust not out of the thought of perfection, but because we believed in contributing to the greater good of our nation. We forged bonds of friendship and believed we were one family. It is well documented and publicized that the core foundation of Spoon Talk was affected when an indictment was announced against CEO Stanton Witherspoon. We’ve chosen not to speak to the merits of his case because we have absolute confidence in the United States Justice system. We wish Mr. Witherspoon and his family well and pray for the best, cognizant of the magnitude of the crimes he’s been accused of.
With that being said, due to internal disagreement on the way forward and direction of Spoon Talk, we've made the difficult decision to terminate our association with the platform. This decision was not an easy one, but we can assure our many fans and supporters that this will not be the last time you will hear from us. We will inform you in due time of our next plans as we all strive to see a better and prosperous LIBERIA.
God bless you all.
