Nigerian superstar Davido lost his first son Infeanyi by drowning in a swimming pool earlier yesterday at the family Banana Island located in Lagos. Ifeanyi is the child he had with Chioma which was the reason for his top-charting song titled "Assurance".

According to reports, Davido and Chioma had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan, southwestern Nigeria yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can't explain how he entered the pool.

Rest in peace Little Infeanyi and our sympathy goes out to the entire family.

Recognizing Brenda Fassie, commonly known as "Queen of African Pop" whose music still lives on.

Brenda was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1964, where she was raised by her mother after her father passed away when she was two years. At a tender age, she started earning money by singing to tourists, while her mother, a pianist, played alongside. Brenda Nokuzola Fassie was a South African singer, songwriter, dancer, and activist. Brenda climbed her way to the top, beginning as the lead singer in a group called “Brenda and The Big Dudes”, and eventually branching off as were solo artist.

Her bold stage antics earned a reputation for "outrageousness" and were sometimes referred to as the “Black Madonna”. Some of her greatest hits include “Vuli Ndlela”, “Black President”, “Nomakanjani?”, “I’m sorry Mama” and more. Most of her albums went on to become multi-platinum sellers in South Africa.

She died in 2004 at the age of 39 after losing consciousness at a hospital in South Africa.

Despite all the controversies surrounding her personal life, Brenda was a trailblazer in the African music industry. She was a musical genius who constantly reinvented herself and always gave fans around the world something special to look forward to. More importantly, she was a revolutionary who lent her voice to important social issues in her country and went on to inspire many people. Her impact on African music is undeniable and her work will continue to impact generations for years to come. Continue to rest in power, QUEEN. YOUR LEGACY LIVES ON!! ❤🦅

Last night by 7 PM a three-bedroom house located on Ashmun Street Dusty Rd got burned to ashes that even people who lived in the house couldn't retrieve anything. Hopefully, not a single soul has left in it.

The reason for the fire was electrical shock from a stove that was left plugged in a room and the occupant (Emmanuel) went on to do something different. Now he has left a lot of families homeless. What a sad time!!
