CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL CANDIDATES

AS OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN OPENED TODAY, AUGUST 4, 2023 FOR THE PENDING OCTOBER 10TH GENERAL AND LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS, I WANT TO EXTEND MY PROFOUND CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL CANDIDATES CONTESTING FOR SEATS IN BOTH SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES , COME OCTOBER 10TH.
THIS ELECTION IS COMPETITIVE FOR ALL IN MANY RESPECTS.

THE SHARED NUMBER OF CONTESTANTS IN THESE ELECTIONS USUALLY POST NATURAL CONDITIONS FOR STIFF COMPETITION:

THERE ARE 45 OF YOU CONTESTING FOR SIX(6) SEATS IN THE HON. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND SEVEN CONTESTING FOR ONE SEAT IN THE LIBERIAN SENATE.

THAT MEANS, FOR BOTH HOUSES THERE ARE A COMBINED TOTAL NUMBER OF SEVEN (7) CONTESTED SEATS (SIX IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND ONE(1) IN THE LIBERIAN SENATE.

THIS ALSO MEANS THAT THERE WILL BE FOURTY-FIVE(45) INVOLUNTARY LOSERS (SENATE 6, HOUSE , 39).

AS IN THE PREVIOUS ELECTIONS(2005, 2011, 2014, 2017, AND 2022), THERE WILL ALWAYS BE WINNERS AND LOSERS AND THESE INDIVIDUALS WILL CHANGE FROM TIME TO TIME, BUT THE TWO
THINGS THAT REMAIN CONSTANT AT ALL TIMES ARE:

1). THE FACT THAT YOU WILL ALL CONTINUE TO BE LOFANS, NO MATTER WHO WINS AND LOSES THIS ELECTION; AND

2). THAT YOUR BELOVED LOFA COUNTY REMAINS BIGGER THAN ALL OF YOU, REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME OF THESE ELECTIONS.

BEARING THOSE IN MIND AS YOU GO INTO THESE ELECTIONS, LET GO IN WITH YOUR BEST, KNOWING THAT THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A LOFA COUNTY AWAITING YOU AFTER THESE EXERCISES.
AS CHILDREN OF ONE MOTHER (LOFA COUNTY), BOTH WINNERS AND LOSERS SHALL MEET AGAIN, REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOMES OF THESE ELECTIONS.

SO, CAMPAIGN PEACEFUL AND WELL, KNOWING THAT AS IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO REQUEST FROM THE PEOPLE OF LOFA COUNTY TO SERVE THEM, SO ALSO IT IS THEIR RIGHT TO DECIDE WHO "THEY CHOOSE" TO SERVE THEM FOR THE NEXT SIX(6) AND NINE(9) YEARS RESPECTIVELY.
AS IT WAS IN THE SPECIAL SENATORIAL ELECTION IN 2022, WHEN PEOPLE IN LIBERIA AND EVEN THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT, WAS NOT SURE THAT THE ELECTION WOULD GO ON UNEVENTFUL, WE CONDUCTED OURSELVES IN MANNERS THAT PEOPLE
WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.
WE DID THAT THEN AND WE CAN DO THAT AGAIN. LET'S "DEBATE THE MESSAGES AND LEAVE THE MESSANGERS OUT OF OUR DEBATES".

LET'S TALK ABOUT WHAT WE PLAN TO DO FOR LOFA COUNTY WHEN ELECTED AND LEAVE OUT THE PERSONALITY ATTACKS.
FINALLY, LET ME WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN YOUR CAMPAIGN ENDEAVOURS FOR THESE SIXTY(60) DAYS OF IDEALOGICAL EXCHANGES.

The Secretary General of the Unity Party in Lofa County, Abass Mark Biaty, has condemned recent act of loyalists of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change who were seen on camera toting a casket bearing the photograph of former Liberian Vice President, Joseph Nyumah Boakai, political leader of the Unity Party_purporting that he's dead..

Biaty said, the unacceptable act is CDC's usual way of doing things during elections time; describing it as fear tactic intended to distract the already prepared opposition that's set to make Weah a one term president. He called on supporters of the Rescue Team to remain focused on the Rescue Mission; reemphasizing that Joseph Nyumah Boakai is Liberia's next president.

He spoke on Voice of Lofa 's breakfast show ( Lofa Morning show), August 7, 2023 edition.

It can be recalled that on Saturday, August 5, when the National Election Commission officially declared campaign open for the October 10 2023 polls, supporters of the CDC were seen carrying casket bearing the photo of Joseph Boakai purporting that he's dead.

This action, as seen on several media platforms, has attracted massive condemnation national-wide from citizens hoping for a violent- free election as Liberians prepared to go to the polls on October 10 to elect a new president and legislatures.

Meanwhile, president Weah has condemned the act; called on all supporters of the CDC to desist from such act.

“For immediate Release

Monrovia Liberia( July 19, 2023)-The Movement For Democracy & Reconstruction (MDR) is deeply troubled and concerned about information it has gathered from reliable sources in the corridors of the ruling establishment that , Elements from the regime are planning to lay co**se (dead body) either on the farm of Sen. Jeremiah Koung in Ganta, Nimba County , or on his premises at the Robertsfield Highway in order to use it against him for campaign propaganda purposes that will incriminate our political leader.

The Movement for Democracy Reconstruction (MDR) takes this revelation seriously and believes such campaign tactics and propaganda from the regime collaborators will be a clear sign of provocation and counter-productive to the Farmington Declaration that was signed few months ago that clearly speaks to a violent free election. These acts, our party believes will not only be provocative but could also be a recipe for chaos and set the pace for a violent election.

The MDR therefore wishes to call the attention of all state actors including the media, the religious communities, Council of Churches, Islamic Council, Civil Society Organizations, Council of Elders, Political Parties as well as our International Partners (ECOWAS, AU, EU, American Embassy and all diplomatic corps accredited near Monrovia to claim their attention to said evil plot being planned by the government of Liberia.

The MDR would like to remind the ruling establishment and all parties signatories to the Farmington Declaration that clearly speaks to a violent-free election and discourages any act of provocation in all forms and manner.

Again, the MDR attaches importance to this alleged syndicate from Individuals believed to be from the CDC led Government and all other future campaign strategies that have the propensity to derail the peace that we all enjoy today.

Dillion Reacts To CDC [Thank You] Rally Held Today...

"To show crowd against us in 2020, CDC claimed to have filled ATS with over "25K" persons. Not satisfied, they went to SKD with "huger crowd" of "50K" persons. In the end, we whipped them BIGLY; the kind of whipping they have never recovered from!

Now, we see CDC running away from ATS and SKD .... They're happily confined in their small headquarters compound that cannot take more than 3k persons. They already know that Jorweah is OUT!!!"
