Jefferson T. Koijee, opposition CDC, political party Secretary Genera, writes President of the US, President Donald J. Trump.
February 26, 2025
H.E. President Donald J. Trump
President of the United States of America
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
Dear President Trump,
One year ago, I envisioned that the United States of America would once again elect you as President. I was optimistic that the regional and global problems that persisted under the Democrats—corruption, democratic instability, continuous aggression in the Middle East, major human rights violations, and the growing threat of the sexual revolution—would come to an end.
In particular, our world has been subjected to an unending redefinition of sexual identities and orientations, diverting American taxpayer funds from addressing real existential problems in human history to promoting gender revisionism in vulnerable African nations and even within the United States itself. In Africa, the issue extends far beyond teaching a boy to be a girl or a girl to be a boy. Our fundamental challenges stem from within, and we must stand in solidarity with a leader like you, whose vision aligns with the deep desires of both the African and American people.
Your presidency comes at a critical time when nations are failing to establish mechanisms for self-reliance while simultaneously imposing artificial hardships on their citizens. I am confident that your leadership will promote self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, and the values of self-determination. We are tired of being beggars in a land endowed with God-given natural resources—resources that should be used to feed our people and eradicate extreme poverty.
The State of Affairs in Liberia
In Liberia, the misuse of U.S. foreign aid has led to deep social and political crises. For example, the $17 million tax advisory project was canceled, and USAID allocated $1.5 million for voter confidence—yet our country remains mired in corruption and instability.
President Joseph Boakai has consistently violated our nation’s laws, undermining democratic accountability and the very foundations on which our democracy was built. He orchestrated a legislative coup d’état by using state resources to remove a legally elected Speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa, in an effort to consolidate control over the Legislature and interfere with fiscal policy. Additionally, he is operating a treasonable budget—one that was not signed by the duly elected Speaker—thereby eliminating the necessary checks and balances in governance.
According to Article 76, Section 5 of the Liberian Constitution, treason consists of:
“Abrogating or attempting to abrogate, subverting or attempting or conspiring to subvert the Constitution by use of force or show of force or any other means which attempts to undermine this Constitution.”
Under President Boakai, human rights violations have reached an unprecedented level, with over one hundred reported deaths in just one year. These deaths stem from state-sponsored persecution, so**my, gang r**e, police brutality, and ritualistic killings. Despite these grave atrocities, the President has failed to reconcile our nation, exacerbating Liberia’s deep wounds and hindering collective national development and peace.
President Boakai has also engaged in political harassment against institutions and individuals who express dissent. On August 5 and 22, 2024, police violently invaded the headquarters of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), attacking peaceful citizens and causing over $50,000 in property damage. Furthermore, President Boakai instructed the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia to deploy soldiers at the airport to prevent former President George Weah from accessing the VIP Lounge upon his arrival. This act of state-sanctioned intimidation nearly resulted in an assassination attempt on former President Weah on June 6, 2024. Additionally, Liberians who welcomed Weah on this day were brutally assaulted.
The President has also influenced the arbitrary dismissal of numerous employees at the Monrovia City Government for simply expressing their grievances on social media—a clear violation of their constitutional rights.
Rampant Corruption
When President Boakai assumed office under his so-called “Rescue Mission,” he pledged to fight corruption and uphold good governance. However, his administration has become a hub of financial misconduct. Some notable cases include:
• $2.3 million in unaccounted miscellaneous expenses.
• $15 million in off-budget expenditures.
• $100,000 transferred onto the President’s personal debit card for unauthorized transactions.
• $374,239.24 paid to former Central Bank Governor Aloysius Tarlue to coerce his resignation.
• $75,000 allocated for a $45,000 vehicle for the National Oil Company of Liberia’s CEO, Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis, inflating costs through fraud.
Despite these glaring cases of corruption, millions of Liberians lack access to clean drinking water, electricity, employment, and healthcare. Given this level of mismanagement, Liberia is unprepared to handle direct foreign aid under President Boakai. A full-scale investigation into previous USAID grants to Liberia is necessary—particularly the $1.5 million allocated for voter confidence.
As the former Mayor of Monrovia, I previously warned the U.S. government that USAID funds were being used to manipulate electoral integrity. Evidence has since emerged that the Election Coordinating Committee (ECC), which received these funds, was actively colluding with the ruling Unity Party. USAID’s unwavering support for the ECC, as expressed by Ms. Catherine Rodriguez, was an unacceptable intrusion into Liberia’s political system.
Appreciation for Elon Musk’s Efforts in Government Efficiency
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency and Elon Musk for exposing corruption within USAID and in countries like Liberia. Investigating foreign aid misuse is a necessary step toward accountability and reform, ensuring that American taxpayer money is used appropriately.
A Plea for Liberians Facing Deportation
President Trump, I urge you to reconsider the deportation of 1,563 Liberians currently residing in the United States. Many of them fled political persecution and violence and have contributed immensely to both the U.S. economy and Liberia’s development through remittances. Deporting them under President Boakai’s regime—marked by widespread r**e, murder, and economic collapse—would endanger their lives and devastate their families.
Your previous policies demonstrated a commitment to protecting Liberians, including your 2018 extension of Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) and the 2019 enactment of the Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness (LRIF) provision. A similar act of compassion today would strengthen U.S.-Liberia relations and safeguard thousands of vulnerable individuals.
Upholding Religious Values Over Gender Confusion
As a devout Christian, I am grateful for your efforts to restore the image of the Holy Bible in the White House and across America. The establishment of the Faith Advisory Council is a monumental step in preserving religious freedom and combatting radical gender ideologies. Your leadership in this area mirrors the biblical role of Cyrus, the Persian ruler who liberated the Jews from Babylon.
Conclusion
Mr. President, as the former Mayor of Monrovia and Secretary General of the Congress for Democratic Change, I implore you to stand with the Liberian people in our fight against corruption, human rights violations, and democratic erosion.
Liberia has always shared a deep historical bond with the United States. Our capital city, Monrovia, is named after President James Monroe, and our largest hospital honors President John F. Kennedy. Today, we look to you as a leader who can help guide Liberia through its current crisis.
Your leadership is critical in protecting Liberians at home and abroad, ensuring accountability in U.S. foreign aid, and defending the values that define both of our nations.
Sincerely,
Jefferson T. Koijee
National Secretary General, Congress for Democratic Change
Former Mayor, Monrovia City Government

Liberia Takes Bold Steps to Enhance Digital Connectivity
Buchanan, Grand Bassa County – The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications is excited to announce a significant advancement in Liberia’s digital infrastructure: the initiation of the site assessment for the nation’s second submarine cable, the Amílcar Cabral Cable. This vital project is expected to land in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, contingent upon the outcome of the assessment report. This endeavor marks a crucial step toward bolstering internet resilience and connectivity throughout the country.
In 2024, Liberia experienced a severe internet blackout due to a submarine cable cut outside its borders, isolating the nation from global digital networks. In contrast, neighboring countries such as Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Nigeria maintained their connectivity through multiple fiber redundancies. This incident highlighted the urgent need for enhanced digital infrastructure in Liberia.
Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., the Government of Liberia is prioritizing the landing of this second submarine cable. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to President Boakai and his administration for their steadfast support of this crucial initiative, which is essential for Liberia’s digital transformation.
This anticipated achievement stands as a testament to the dedicated efforts of Minister Sekou M. Kromah and his team at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. Their unwavering commitment to improving Liberia’s communication infrastructure has set the foundation for this transformative project.
We also express our appreciation to our sponsors, ECOWAS and the World Bank, for their invaluable support in ensuring Liberia benefits from this significant digital initiative. Additionally, we acknowledge our private sector partners who are collaborating with us to realize this goal. Together, we are dedicated to enhancing digital access and creating economic opportunities for all Liberians.
This project will directly benefit the residents of Grand Bassa and the Southeast by establishing a robust fiber-optic network that will significantly stimulate economic activities and improve digital connectivity in the region.
During our recent assessment, we identified five potential landing sites along Buchanan’s coastline, which include:
• Small Fanti Town
• Big Fanti Town
• Upper Buchanan
• Mother/Reverend Dukuly Memorial Site
• Additional strategic locations
The Ministry remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders, engineers, and development partners to finalize the landing site and prepare for the deployment of this critical infrastructure.
The Amílcar Cabral Cable initiative represents a major leap forward in Liberia’s efforts to integrate into the global digital economy. We believe this project will play a transformative role in enhancing digital access and creating economic opportunities for all Liberians.
For further information and updates on this project, please contact the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Communications Office.

Mr. Joke-Ass, we understand how excited you are to be employed into government, and on the overall do the work as you were instructed: to take jobs from qualified Liberians and replace them with your partisans who do not have interest in going to school. And, of course, you’re right, Liberia will not be the same way in these years due to the level of hate the President is dishing out through you. Now, there are more security concerns about Liberia than it has been ever been due to the handling of this inept government led by an old pop star. The economy under your administration is overly stink. Go to market centers and randomly ask people. Parents are unable to pay school fees for their kids because a funny man with pink socks has taken them out of work demonically. You see, this is why Liberia will never be the same under this administration. Because when the people are fed up, obviously, Liberia will not be the same.
Let’s see how it goes!

Boakass’ mission boy, Joke-ass of the CSA should be looking in the direction of salary disparities in those entities instead of chasing innocent people who are displeased with the governance system. You came to “rescue” so we do not expect you to consistently use excuses. Now the Liberian people are to be the judge. But again, Boakass is what we told you that he is: crook and habitual liability. Liberia is experiencing the worst form of governance since 1822. There is no way investors would come into such a toxic environment. No money man or woman will risk their money and life like that! The country is going backward so fast.

Leader Samuel D Tweah, Jr penned
Fellow Liberians, on Thursday December 14, 2023 we told the world the reason behind our recent US State Department visa restrictions. We are pursuing all legitimate efforts to correct the situation.
This is my first official Facebook post, having opened my account a few weeks ago. Let me extend congratulations to His Excellency Dr. George MANNEH WEAH for the opportunity to have served my wonderful country! Huge thanks for recently RAISING LIBERIA ABOVE ALL ELSE . Sir, we forded difficult waters together, but we triumphed in the end! History, not elections results, will be your ultimate judge!
Congratulations also to President- elect Joseph N Boakai. I wish you all the best sir as you take over national leadership!
The second democratic transition in post war Liberia remains on course. The CDC administration is leaving stronger macroeconomic fundamentals than it inherited. We have raised the profile of domestic revenue and the Unity Party would have to sustain this legacy. We are leaving way stronger net international reserves than we inherited. Inflation is lower than we met it. We have resolved and consolidated the messy debt profile of the Government under our recent IMF program. We have paved the way for a second MCC Compact. We have reformed wage. Numerous high profile roads and electricity projects are on course. Over the weekend, the Board of the African Development Bank approved funding for the 48 km road segment between Rivergee and Zwedru. Funding considerations for the Road from Toe Town to Zwedru are well advanced with the World Bank.
How much I wish we had inherited these macroeconomic and project conditions.
But leadership is meant to solve complex problems not to complain about challenges predecessors leave behind. This was why the CDC hunkered down to work and solve problems. Very soon even our critics world convinced.
Let’s keep the peace. Liberia is all we have. We stand ready to protect and defend our legacy. We go into opposition undaunted and proud of our service to country!
May God bless Liberia and save the Republic!
Please welcome me officially to the Facebook family.
Cheers!

I took the podium yesterday in the Peace and Security Chamber of the African Union to present on the roles of youth in peace and security in the region and provide my expertise on current peace and security architectures and frameworks of the AU. During my presentation, I emphasized on the need for inclusive and strong political institutions and demilitarization of peace and security issues in Africa. I urged the AU to help member states improve on governance, democracy and human rights and called on member states to review and reform their respective constitutions to align with contemporary issues while urging African leaders to stick to term limits within their legal frameworks. I posited that there is an increased in violent non-state groups because of the lack of trust in state institutions, the absence of inclusive policy formulation and implementation, weak security architectures within states, and the high rate of socioeconomic and political inequalities in African states. It is my expectations that member states will implement existing policies and instruments within the AU to strengthen and improve leadership, governance and public service deliverables as the AU doesn’t work in isolation of enlightened personal interests of member states.

While folks continue to lobby against their own country with an intent to suffer the masses, we have signed up to continue engaging well-meaning global personalities in pushing our country forward.
It was wonderful making great engagements with the aide of CNN analyst, Bakari Sellers who has since registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act of the United States to work on behalf of the Liberian government.
Together we are all helping to solve the complexities of our society and once more put our country on the map towards recovery, growth, and development.
We're looking forward to welcoming Sellers and an array of movers and shakers of the US Capitol to our country in the coming months.
The dividends of this visit will be seen in the renewed relationship between Liberia and our longest ally, the United States of America.
I am very privileged to have been included on this delegation by His Excellency, President George Weah. Our full delegation is made of men with courage, tenacity and love for country.
Service to country is what I hope to dedicate the rest of my personal and professional life to.
