PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

FROM: Margibi County Police Detachment

ISSUED BY: Mr. Arthur Kpanah Jarvey, Acting Commander of Police

SUBJECT: Strict Enforcement of Noise Control Regulations

The Margibi County Police Detachment is officially notifying the general public, religious institutions, and business owners that strict noise control regulations are now in effect.

To ensure public peace and order, all residents must adhere to the following directives immediately:

1. Public Spaces: Excessive and loud noise in all public areas is strictly prohibited.

2. Churches & Mosques or places of Worship: All religious institutions are instructed to significantly lower the volume of their sound systems and megaphones during services.

3. Entertainment & Music Vendors: Music recorders, street vendors, and entertainment centers must reduce their audio equipment to a low, non-disruptive volume.

Failure to comply with this directive will result in immediate law enforcement action.

The police department will confiscate the sound systems, speakers, or megaphones of any individuals or institutions found in violation of this order. Impounded equipment will “not” be returned, and violators will face legal prosecution through the court system.

The cooperation of all Margibi County residents is highly expected to maintain community peace.

Street vendors currently selling along the VIP Road and on highway shoulders will be systematically relocated to the Kakata General Market.
‎The Kakata City Corporation (KCC) and Ministry of Commerce officers will conduct active joint patrols to keep transit pathways free of business installations.

Margibi county superintendent Hon O Jay Godfavor Morris Jr. stated during his press conference today and tour the street of kakata.

L.Team Work Solution, in collaboration with Margibi Liberia, would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused regarding the kickoff of the Who Own Ka-City Community Dance Competition.

Following numerous calls and concerns from community leaders and team captains, we have carefully considered a request for additional preparation time to allow all participating teams a better chance to practice and perform at their best.

In light of this, we are pleased to inform the public that the official kickoff of the competition has been rescheduled to the 10th of this month.
