1. “ lotus eaters “
Meaning, ‘LAZY DREAMY PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY CONCERNED WITH THEIR OWN PLEASURES & COMFORT’
Eg, The people who live in this small rich village are lotus eaters.
2. “a land of milk & honey”
Meaning, “ A PLACE IN WHICH LIFE WOULD BE PLEASANT WITH PLENTY OF CHANCES OF SUCCESS & HAPPINESS’
Eg, The sailors believed that they would return after the war to a land of milk & honey.
3. “ donkey’s years’
Meaning, “ a very long time
”Eg, I haven’t seen some of my old school friends for donkey’s years.
