Expanding its future horizons, Sands Active Pvt Limited (SAPL), a part of the Melwa Conglomerate, proudly introduced MELDOL, a 500mg Paracetamol BP tablet, promising "𝑅𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑓".

Established in 2018 as a subsidiary of Melwa Pharma, Sands Active Pvt Limited focuses on manufacturing and distributing high-quality pharmaceutical solutions, including oral, soluble, and injectable medicines for the local market, adhering to international standards.

The inauguration of MELDOL took place on June 6th, 2024, officiated by His Excellency Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Notable dignitaries attended the event, including Hon. Mr Harin Fernando, Minister of Tourism, Lands, Sports, and Youth Affairs; Hon. Dr Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine; and Mr Sagala Ratnayake, Chief of Staff to the President and National Security Advisor. Directors of the Melwa Conglomerate and other esteemed guests were also present.

During the launch, President Wickremesinghe visited the Sands Active manufacturing plant, showcasing SAPL's commitment to producing top-tier pharmaceutical products that meet international standards.
