Welcome to the new batch of 40 Inductees who just completed their week long induction program last week and will join Nations Trust Bank on Monday 3rd February 2014

The trail blazing NFresher Intern Batch completed a productive & an enjoyable three months and said a "tentative" good bye to the 'most happening bank in town - NTB' on the 08th Jan 2014.

Nfresher Maneesh Jayathilaka from Kaduruwela branch who spoke on behalf of the group said... "We learned so much and enjoyed ourselves so much and after school - I now feel the Kaduruwela Branch is my second home! The Branch Manager, and every single staff person was so helpful and so nice to me and I really want to thank them for this wonderful experience".

Except for one or two who will go in for full time study programs in Sri Lanka or abroad - most of the 17 Nfreshers will sit the Bank's entrance test and we look forward to welcoming them once they pass the test and the interview !

Nations Credit Executives Trainee Program 2014

Nations Trust Bank now has a significant focus on lending. However, we do not have much expertise in the area of credit among our staff. Therefore, this unique one year training program with a very structured approach to both classroom and on the job training was designed. The 13 Trainees are fully or part qualified in CIMA or ACCA students and will be trained as Credit Assistant Managers focusing on developing an in house pool of credit experts for Nations Trust Bank.

The program commenced on the 01/01/2014 and will run until the 26/12/2014.

They will initially start with an induction, followed by a comprehensive class room program covering all the basics of credit. They will then be assigned to branches to learn general banking for one month. During this month they will observe all the seats in the branch including Operations, Credit and Pawning. They will then embark on a comprehensive training in 8 different departments linked to the credit cycle like Trade and Credit Operations. At the end of 6 months they will be assigned to branches / Commercial lending and they will learn Credit on the job while attending a series of training programs both technical and soft skills. They will face continuous assessments and will be absorbed into the regular cadre on completion of the training.

We welcome them to Nations Trust Bank and hope you will give them your fullest support as they visit your branches and departments.

A Batch of Forty Five New Inductees will join Nations Trust on 2nd December. The Nations Fun Learning Team look forward to welcoming them and wish them a great start to their Corporate Career!
