Medicare - International Healthcare Exhibition is happening on the 6th, 7th & 8th March 2026, BMICH Colombo, Sri Lanka The event is organized by the Organizing Committee of Medicare under the patronage of the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka in collaboration with specialist medical associations which look at the bigger picture to make the right healthcare awareness to the public at the right time. The event showcases the latest in modern healthcare, disease prevention, effective treatment methods, newest technology and latest services available in Sri Lankan hospitals and laboratories as well as the global medical sector. Sri Lanka has recorded impressive achievements in health, family planning and infrastructure over the past years. With the dawn of peace, Sri Lanka is well on the track of a rapid development, and the health sector has the potential to take the leading role in this development process. All these endeavors will contribute towards the vision of making Sri Lanka the โMiracle of Asiaโ. The Sri Lankan government aims to foster a healthier nation that contributes to its economic, social, mental and spiritual well being, and plans to achieve this objective by working in close coordination and partnership with the private sector to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and sustainable healthcare services of high quality.

Professor Sheriffโs remarkable contributions to the field of clinical medicine, medical education, and the broader healthcare community in Sri Lanka have left an enduring legacy.
