Sheneller
Hi! My name is Shenelle Rodrigo and I am a travel content creator based out of Colombo
Even though this can be a polarizing topic it is a conversation that must be had. I believe most of the time the issue is that people aren’t aware of the importance of Sigiriya, it’s not conveyed to tourists properly.
People see it as an unusual rock that erupts from an otherwise flat region, but that it is the least interesting thing about it. Every time we explain this side of the Sigiriya story to travelers, they always change their plans from not climbing the rock, to Climbing it. And thats speaks volumes.

Do you remember the last time you stepped into a market like this? Thinnaveli market in Jaffna transported us back in time to what a traditional Sri Lankan marketplace looked and felt like a few decades ago. Stalls spilling over with fresh produce, vendors calling out prices, the kind of unhurried chaos that feels like home.
After sourcing our veggies for the feast, we headed back to our host's home and learned to cook a proper Northern spread from scratch.
Have you seen our latest $100 Meal episode in Jaffna?
we head into the markets and cook up a storm!
