🇫🇷 Le Grand Théâtre de Beyrouth , construit durant les années 1930, est abandonné depuis la fin de la guerre civile. Solidere avait clôturé le bâtiment du théâtre depuis le début des années 90 et retarde depuis des années le projet de faire revivre le théâtre et le bâtiment adjacent sous la forme d’un hôtel et d’une salle de bal. Le seul changement effectué concerne les façades principales restaurées et les semelles renforcées. Ses murs sont pleins d'anciennes peintures murales et de graffitis laissés par les milices.
🇺🇸 The Grand Theater of Beirut, built in the 1930s, has been abandoned since the end of the civil war. Solidere had fenced off the theater building since the early 1990s and has been delaying plans for years to revive both the theater and the adjacent building in the form of a hotel and ballroom. The only change done was to the main facades that were restored and the footings strengthened. Its walls are full of old murals and graffiti, left by militias.

تم التخلي عن مسرح بيروت، الذي بني في الثلاثينيات، منذ نهاية الحرب الأهلية. كانت "سوليدير" قد أغلقت مبنى المسرح منذ أوائل التسعينات وتؤخر خططها لسنوات لإحياء كل من المسرح والمبنى المجاور في شكل فندق وقاعة رقص. التغيير الوحيد الذي تم إجراؤه هو على الواجهات الرئيسية، التي تم ترميمها وتعزيزها. جدرانه مليئة بالجداريات القديمة والكتابات على الجدران، التي خلفتها الميليشيات.

🇺🇸 With its stripped facades revealing the ocher tone of the stone, the house Messara conveys a real welcoming sense, with its warm colours from the exterior and the architecture of its Central Hall from the interior.
The Messara family was the first to live in the neighborhood. Their house, built around 1890, was inhabited by Barbara and her sons Ibrahim and Elias.

يتميز منزل Messara بواجهته المجردة التي تكشف النقاب عن اللون المغري للحجر ، وهو يضفي إحساسًا ترحيبيًا حقيقيًا بألوانه الدافئة من الخارج والهندسة المعمارية في القاعة المركزية به من الداخل.
كانت عائلة المسرة أول من سكن في الحي.
تم بناء المنزل عام ١٨٩٠، واقام فيه باربرا وابنيها إبراهيم وإلياس.
