Some Romantic evening!

In addition to our usual Baroque offering of G.P. Telemann, we will be offering something new for you on October 11 at Au marché:

THE ROMANTICS!

Franz Schubert (1797–1828) was an Austrian composer who served as a crucial bridge between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western music. Despite living only 31 years, he was remarkably prolific, leaving behind over 1,500 works. Although his genius was only fully recognized posthumously, he is now regarded as one of the greatest composers in the history of classical music.

Carl Maria von Weber (1786–1826) was a pivotal German composer, conductor, and pianist of the early Romantic era. A master of the German Singspiel, he's best known for his groundbreaking opera, Der Freischütz, which established the German Romantic opera tradition. He was also a prolific author of concertos, chamber music, and piano works, as well as an influential figure in the development of modern conducting techniques.

Another wonderful evening at Au marché This time with our newest member on oboe, Noah Al-Malt, together with stalwarts Miri Cho, Glenn Pian, and Leo Salazar.

Thank you, Thomas Guillaume and Thibault Courouble for hosting us again. We had a great time and the full house was a pleasure to experience.
