This year has been an absolute roller coaster for us!
We started our Rent-A-Shelf journey in March, officially opened in April with one customer and managed to grow to a record 15 customers in 6 months!🙌🏽💃🏽👏🏽🎉🙌🏽💃🏽👏🏽🎊
The trajectory was promising but the reality of the overheads was that we were not even breaking even despite adding errands-a-service 😒
So we had to pivot really fast and this has seen us move from Kimathi House on Kimathi Street to Pioneer Bazaar on Koinange Street our current location!
We lost almost half our our Rent-A-Shelf customers occasioned by the move, manze this was a blow to us but on the brighter side the half that remained have been so amazing, accommodating and very understanding.😊
Lessons: Overheads can be a nightmare without a steady source of revenue for businesses and this reality hits once the capital set aside to run operations is depleting fast and you are yet to break even!
For now, Check out our new Shelves! 🙌🏽🎊🎉🙌🏽🎊🎉we are back with renewed hope,energy and enthusiasm that the lessons learnt will propel us to greater heights despite the challenges experienced!
