Here comes our last Cohort of International Training of Trainers for the year 2024!
It’s inspiring to see the growing enthusiasm for the International Labour Organization Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) program within the academic sector. The involvement of senior lecturers from major universities in Kenya reflects the program’s impact and credibility. What stands out even more is the adaptability and openness of these academicians as they transition from being traditional conveyors of knowledge to embracing their roles as facilitators who leverage adult learning methodologies.
This shift highlights the importance of a more engaging, participatory approach in entrepreneurship training. The SIYB program's emphasis on experiential learning, practical exercises, and interactive discussions enhances the learning experience. Academics adopting these methods enrich their teaching and expand the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education, bridging the gap between theory and practice to support the development of skilled entrepreneurs.

We are excited to announce our partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO), funded by the UK-Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom (UKaid), for Phase 2 of the Better Regional Migration Management hashtag Project in Mombasa County.
The BRMM Project Phase II, which will run for six months, aims to strengthen the capacities of countries in East and Horn of Africa (Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda) to effectively manage labor migration through evidence-based policies, enhanced skills for migrant workers, and active engagement of social partners to drive improved development outcomes.
As part of this initiative, Destiny Path Foundation will train 400 returned migrants across all six sub-counties in business management using the ILO Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) program. We will also support participants with business registration, access to finance, and establishing market linkages, empowering returnees to rebuild their livelihoods and establish sustainable enterprises.
