Since taking office in late 2022, his administration has achieved several milestones in the agricultural sector:

Affordable Inputs: Drastically slashed fertilizer prices from over KSh 6,000 to KSh 2,500, saving farmers billions and making it possible for many to plant their entire land for the first time in years.

Bumper Harvests: Boosted national maize production by nearly 40%, rising from 44 million bags in 2022 to a record 67 million bags in 2024, which has significantly lowered the cost of unga for households.

Empowered Dairy Farmers: Increased milk farm-gate prices from KSh 35 to KSh 50 per litre while installing 230 new milk coolers and slashing the cost of sexed semen from KSh 8,000 to just KSh 1,000.

Revived Cash Crops: Tripled cotton production and nearly doubled tea earnings, which rose from KSh 138 billion to KSh 215 billion, ensuring our farmers reap the full rewards of their hard work.

Sugar Sector Stability: Increased sugar production by 76%, reducing expensive imports by 70% and paying off KSh 1.7 billion in long-standing farmer arrears.

Digital Transformation: Registered over 7.1 million farmers on a digital platform to eliminate corrupt middlemen and ensure subsidies reach real farmers directly.
