The proper sampling of soil or leaves for analysis is the most important factor in Agriculture. The data is practically worthless if the samples will not represent the field or the plantation to be fertilized.

The purpose for making soil or leaf Analysis is to find the proper amounts of Fertilizers that should be added in order to get the highest profit soil test intends to give numerical expressions of how much of each element will be available during the growth period of plants.

APPLE GROWERS GUIDE
Planting
•Spacing ranges from 3 x 3m to 4 x 4m depending on variety.
•Plant seedlings at the same depth as they were in the nursery bag and water to settle the soil around the roots.
•Avoid shading any part of the tree especially the lower part.
•Inter-planting at least two cultivars is beneficial since most cultivars are cross-pollinated.
•Newly planted orchard can be inter-cropped with low growing crops such as vegetables and clover.
•Bees are important pollen carriers. 💪 Bees are therefore beneficial.

July & August are the ideal months to plant 🍎 🍎.

Tomato farming
•During compost making, the organic matter need to be covered to prevent leaching and volatilization of nutrients.
•Tomato is a heavy feeder and does well in soils with high organic content (manure)
•Based on the results of the soil analysis, prepare adequate compost for application.
•The compost should be broadcasted then worked into the soil (incorporated) preferably using a hoe.
•Manure/Compost should be applied 1-2 weeks before transplanting the tomato and incorporated into the soil.

How to boost tomato seedlings growth rate.

A good seedling gives a good yield every other things being equal. However, unattended seedlings would surely produce poor yield.

1. Organic manure.
In preparing your seed beds or nursery trays, it is expected that you already added dried old organic manure in small measure. As for direct seed bed sowing method, when your seedlings are 2 weeks old, you can add manure in form of paste in furrows in-between the seedling rows. The paste form of manure makes the liquid part of it to be easily absorbed into the soil & enhances its immediate effectiveness. If you can bury it slightly without affecting the seedlings position, it is even better.
