π§οΈ Despite the heavy rains, nothing could stop us from standing up for our environment...
We For She was honored to participate in a beach clean-up exercise organized by alongside other partners at Jumeirah Beach. Driven by our commitment to protecting the marine ecosystem, we collected plastic waste, glass bottles and also the discarded syringes from the shoreline. Every piece of waste removed brings us one step closer to a cleaner and healthier ocean.
Marine pollution not only threatens aquatic life but also poses serious risks to human health through the food chain. This serves as a reminder that we all have a role to play in reducing waste and ensuring its proper disposal.
As an organization, we remain committed to building communities that value and protect the environment. The clean-up was more than just collecting waste, it was a powerful statement that environmental stewardship is everyone's responsibility. Together, we can protect our oceans, preserve marine biodiversity and secure a healthier future for generations to come.
π A cleaner ocean means a healthier future for all.

Today, we held a community sensitization forum on SGBV reporting pathways and access to justice at Mishomoroni ( Machafuko area), bringing together 86 participants, mainly women, alongside village elders and a representative from the Chiefβs office.
The forum created an important space for open discussions on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, reporting mechanisms, evidence preservation, and the challenges survivors often face while seeking justice. We were honored to host gender experts, probation officers, and a lawyer who shared real-life experiences and practical guidance on how survivors and community members can safely report cases and preserve evidence that may be needed in court proceedings.
Participants were also sensitized on how to identify and navigate corruption that may arise within reporting and justice systems, while understanding their rights and the proper channels to seek support and accountability.
In addition, the experts conducted one-on-one sessions with community members who had pressing concerns, offering guidance and referrals where necessary.
As part of our continued commitment to community support, we shared our contact information with participants to ensure that help remains accessible whenever needed. Sometimes the information may not help you directly today, but it could help you support someone else tomorrow.
Our goal remains to build informed communities that are empowered to speak up, report abuse, preserve their dignity, and pursue justice without fear.

Importance of having a fieldwork, pre-activity
πTo better understand the needs and situation of the community before the activity.
πTo identify a suitable venue and plan logistics effectively.
π To engage community leaders and members early for better participation.
π To identify possible challenges and prepare solutions in advance.
πTo improve coordination and ensure the activity runs smoothly.
