Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, Mr. Shadrack Mwadime, welcomed the new National Employment Authority (NEA) Board Chairman, Mr. Geoffrey Kipkoech Maritim, during a meeting at the State Department for Labour and Skills Development.

The PS emphasized the inevitable and critical role of the National Employment Authority in facilitating job opportunities for Kenyans both locally and internationally. He further underscored NEA’s mandate in the registration and regulation of private recruitment agencies, which is key to protecting job seekers from exploitation and ensuring orderly labour migration.

He noted that among the Chairman’s top priorities should be building strong public confidence in the institution through enhanced transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery, as NEA continues to position itself as a trusted gateway to employment opportunities for Kenyans.

Residents of Wundanyi Constituency have been urged to align themselves with the government to ensure they benefit from national development opportunities in the upcoming general elections.

Speaking during a meeting with boda boda riders in Mghanga, Werugha Kese, the Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, Shadrack Mwadime, emphasized the importance of supporting the government of the day to secure a fair share of national resources.

Mwadime, who has been engaging with various community groups across the county, noted that one of the key challenges facing the region is ineffective leadership in different sectors. He called on residents to prioritize initiatives that add value to their livelihoods, rather than engaging in unproductive political opposition.

He encouraged the community to focus on unity and development-oriented leadership that will drive economic growth and improve living standards.

Earlier, the Principal Secretary participated in a fundraiser at ACK Vuria Christ Church in Wundanyi, where he joined local leaders and congregants in supporting community development initiatives.
