Khat Community SACCO Visits Governor Mutuma Over Miraa Value Addition
Elite Khat Community SACCO leaders led by Chairman Murithi Kimencu and Technical Advisor Dr. Paul Goldsmith met Meru Governor Isaac Mutuma to discuss miraa value addition initiatives under the Veve Iced Tea brand.
The talks focused on utilizing the county’s CAIP facility to establish a miraa processing plant aimed at improving product quality, expanding markets, and increasing earnings for farmers.
The SACCO produces various miraa-based products including 100% Natural, Hibiscus, Lemon, Blackcurrant flavours, tea bags, and other products.
