What You Need to Know About Your Children
Children are not accidents to manage—they are assignments to steward. Many parents provide food, education, and shelter, yet fail to understand the deeper nature of the child entrusted to them. When you don’t understand your child, you will mislead, mislabel, or mishandle them.
Scripture gives clarity:
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” (Psalm 127:3)
If they are from God, then they must be raised with understanding, intention, and responsibility.
Here is what every parent must know.
1. Your Child Is a Trust, Not Your Possession
Children come through you, but they do not belong to you.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it…” (Psalm 24:1)
This means:
• You don’t own their destiny
• You don’t control their calling
• You are accountable for how you raise them
When parents try to “own” their children, they often impose their unfulfilled dreams on them.
You are a steward, not a controller.
2. Your Child Has a Unique Design and Calling
Every child carries a different wiring, personality, and assignment.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…” (Jeremiah 1:5)
Your responsibility is to:
• Observe, not compare
• Develop, not suppress
• Guide, not force
Comparison destroys identity. What works for one child may damage another.
3. Your Child Learns More From What You Do Than What You Say
Children are not just listeners—they are watchers.
“Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6)
Training is not instruction alone—it is demonstration.
If you:
• Speak anger, they learn anger
• Live in integrity, they learn integrity
• Pray consistently, they learn dependence on God
Your life is their first curriculum.
4. Your Child Needs Both Love and Discipline
Love without discipline produces rebellion. Discipline without love produces resentment.
“The Lord disciplines the one he loves…” (Hebrews 12:6)
Healthy parenting requires:
• Clear boundaries
• Consistent correction
• Genuine affection
Correction is not punishment—it is direction.
5. Your Child Is Spiritually Sensitive
Children are open, impressionable, and spiritually receptive.
“From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures…” (2 Timothy 3:15)
Do not assume they are too young:
• To pray
• To understand God
• To experience His presence
If you don’t shape their spirituality, the world will shape it for you.
6. Your Child Needs Your Presence More Than Your Provision
Providing money is not the same as providing yourself.
“Fathers, do not exasperate your children…” (Ephesians 6:4)
Absence creates:
• Emotional gaps
• Identity struggles
• Seeking validation elsewhere
What children remember most is not what you gave—but whether you were there.
7. Your Words Shape Their Identity
A child becomes what they consistently hear.
“The tongue has the power of life and death…” (Proverbs 18:21)
Words can:
• Build confidence
• Create fear
• Establish identity
Never label your child negatively. Correct behavior without destroying identity.
8. Your Child Will Test Boundaries
This is not rebellion—it is development.
Children push limits to understand structure.
“Folly is bound up in the heart of a child…” (Proverbs 22:15)
Your role is not to react emotionally but to:
• Stay consistent
• Reinforce boundaries
• Teach consequences
Inconsistency confuses a child more than discipline corrects them.
9. Your Child Needs Guidance, Not Control
There is a difference between directing and dominating.
“Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4)
Control produces fear or rebellion.
Guidance produces:
• Understanding
• Confidence
• Responsibility
Prepare them to think, not just to obey.
10. Your Child Is Becoming an Adult—Not Staying a Child
Parenting is temporary; impact is permanent.
“When I was a child… when I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” (1 Corinthians 13:11)
You are raising:
• A future husband or wife
• A future leader
• A future decision-maker
So teach them:
• Responsibility
• Accountability
• Independence under God
Parenting Is Spiritual Work
Raising children is not just a family duty—it is a kingdom assignment.
If you neglect it:
• Society will correct it
• Pain will teach what you refused to teach
• The world will influence what you failed to shape
But if you do it intentionally:
• You raise stable, godly individuals
• You break generational cycles
• You fulfill a divine responsibility
The real question is not:
“Do you love your children?”
The real question is:
“Are you raising them with knowledge, intention, and godly discipline?”
Because love without structure produces confusion—but love with truth produces destiny.
By Apostle Kitavi
HE DIED FOR ME!
There was a time when man was lost—completely lost. Not just confused, but separated. Cut off from God. Spiritually dead, even while physically alive. Sin was not just an action; it became a condition. A nature. A prison.
Man could try to be good, but goodness was never enough. He could offer sacrifices, but they could never fully cleanse the conscience. Beneath the surface was a deep helplessness—a soul burdened by guilt, fear, and an unspoken awareness that judgment was inevitable.
Because God is just, sin could not be ignored. The verdict over humanity was already clear: “The wages of sin is death.” Not only physical death, but eternal separation from God. A future without hope. A destiny no man could escape by his own strength.
But then… Jesus came.
He did not come for the righteous, but for the broken. Not for the perfect, but for the condemned. He stepped into our place and carried what we could not carry. On the cross, He bore the full weight of sin, shame, and judgment. The punishment that was meant for us was laid on Him.
He died for me.
He died for you.
This was not symbolic. It was substitution.
Not a story. A sacrifice.
Not a ritual. A rescue.
Because of His death, judgment is no longer the end of your story. Mercy is now available. Forgiveness is within reach. A new life has been opened.
But this gift must be received.
You cannot admire the cross from a distance and remain unchanged. You must come to Him. Lay down your pride. Acknowledge your need. Believe in Him—not just in word, but in surrender.
This Easter, don’t just celebrate… respond.
Come to Jesus.
Receive His sacrifice.
Accept His life.
Because He did not just die—
HE DIED FOR YOU.

My Passion and Mission
I have a deep passion and a clear mission: to see lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
1. To win and disciple souls – I am committed to reaching people with the love of Christ, bringing them into a personal relationship with Him, and walking with them as they grow in faith and maturity.
2. To develop Christian leaders to maturity and fruitfulness – I want to raise men and women who know God deeply, serve faithfully, and lead others with wisdom, humility, and excellence.
3. To raise and release kingdom ambassadors – I long to see believers discover their God-given purpose and walk boldly in it, impacting their homes, communities, and nations for Christ.
4. To strengthen the body of Christ – My heart is for a united, Spirit-filled Church that reflects the love, holiness, and service of Jesus.
5. To advance the dominion mandate – I believe every believer is called to manifest God’s kingdom in every sphere of life, and I want to equip them to rise to that calling until the knowledge of His glory fills the Earth.
How We Can Achieve This Vision
To see this vision fulfilled, we need strong foundations that will last for generations:
1. A permanent church structure and base in Nairobi – A central home for Christ Dominion Ministries where worship, training, and ministry can thrive. A place where leaders are raised, the Word is taught, and lives are transformed every day.
2. A physical Bible College – A center for biblical training and spiritual formation, equipping ministers and leaders with the Word, leadership skills, and practical ministry experience to carry the Gospel effectively.
3. A ministry resource and media center – A hub to produce, publish, and share teachings, books, online courses, and media that disciple and impact people far beyond our walls.
4. A discipleship and mentorship hub – A place to nurture and guide young leaders, ensuring continuity of the vision and raising the next generation of kingdom leaders.
5. A network of local and international ministry partners – Strategic relationships for missions, leadership development, and global expansion of God’s Kingdom.
Join Us in This Mission
We are inviting you to partner with us—through prayer, financial support, and any way the Lord leads you. Your involvement will directly impact lives and help us:
• Secure land and build the ministry headquarters and training center.
• Establish a Bible College to raise Spirit-filled, grounded ministers.
• Build a discipleship and mentorship hub for emerging leaders.
• Develop media and resources that will reach thousands across the world.
Every prayer, every seed, and every act of support brings us closer to fulfilling this God-given mandate. Together, we can build something that will outlive us, leave a lasting legacy, and proclaim that Christ reigns.

WHAT IS SALVATION?
Friend, let’s keep it simple. Salvation means God rescuing us from sin and giving us new life through Jesus Christ.
Here’s the truth !
• We’ve all sinned (Romans 3:23). Sin separates us from God.
• The result of sin is death and eternal separation (Romans 6:23).
• But God loved us too much to leave us lost.
• He sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, and He rose again so we can have eternal life (John 3:16).
Salvation is not about “being good” or “joining a church.”
It’s about believing in Jesus, turning from sin, and receiving Him as Lord and Savior.
When you are saved:
✅ Your sins are forgiven.
✅ You become a child of God.
✅ You receive the Holy Spirit.
✅ You have eternal life in heaven.
Think of it this way: you were drowning in sin, but Jesus jumped in, pulled you out, and gave you a brand-new life. That’s salvation.
Romans 10:9 says: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Salvation is God’s free gift. All you have to do is receive it.

Does God Speak?
Absolutely, God does speak, and understanding how can be really encouraging. Here’s a look at how God communicated in the past and how He speaks to us today:
How Did God Speak to His People in the Old Testament?
1. Direct Encounters:
• Moses and the Burning Bush: Think of Moses encountering a bush that was on fire but not burning up. That’s how God got his attention and spoke directly to him (Exodus 3:2-4). It was a dramatic and personal way for God to give Moses a big task—leading the Israelites out of Egypt.
• The Ten Commandments: Imagine being at the foot of a mountain and hearing God’s voice booming through the thunder, giving a list of rules that would shape a nation’s moral and legal code (Exodus 20:1-17). That’s what happened when God spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai.
2. Through Prophets:
• Isaiah’s Prophecies: Isaiah was like God’s messenger, delivering important messages to the people. For instance, when God asked, “Whom shall I send?” Isaiah responded, “Here am I. Send me” (Isaiah 6:8). Prophets were key in sharing God’s words and plans with others.
• Jeremiah’s Call: God spoke to Jeremiah from a young age, telling him he was chosen to be a prophet (Jeremiah 1:4-10). This early call set the course for Jeremiah’s entire life and ministry.
3. Through Dreams and Visions:
• Joseph’s Dreams: Remember Joseph’s dreams about his future rise to power and his family’s bowing to him? These dreams were more than just dreams; they were God’s way of revealing His plans for Joseph’s life (Genesis 37:5-11).
• Daniel’s Visions: Daniel had dreams about future kingdoms and powerful visions (Daniel 7:1-14). These were ways God revealed future events and His plans for the world.
4. Through Signs and Wonders:
• Elijah on Mount Carmel: Elijah called down fire from heaven to prove that his God was the true God, and it happened right before everyone’s eyes (1 Kings 18:36-38). This dramatic sign confirmed God’s power and presence.
How Does God Speak to Us Today?
1. Through the Bible:
• Example: Imagine you’re going through a rough time and open your Bible, only to find a verse that speaks directly to your situation. For instance, Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to bring our worries to God and promises His peace. The Bible is a primary way God communicates with us today.
2. Through the Holy Spirit:
• Example: Sometimes, while you’re praying or going about your day, you might get a sense of what God wants you to do or a clear impression about a decision. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would help us understand and remember His teachings (John 14:26), guiding us in our daily lives.
3. Through Prayer:
• Example: When you pray, you’re not just talking to God; you’re also listening for His response. You might feel a sense of peace, a strong conviction, or a new understanding of a situation. It’s like having a two-way conversation with God.
4. Through Other Believers:
• Example: Sometimes, a friend or a pastor might say something that feels like it was meant just for you. In 1 Corinthians 12:7, Paul talks about how God gives different gifts to people, including the gift of prophecy, which can be used to offer guidance or encouragement.
5. Through Circumstances:
• Example: You might be praying about a job opportunity, and suddenly doors start opening in a way that feels like it’s meant to be. In Philippians 4:19, Paul reminds us that God will meet all our needs, and sometimes He does this through the situations and opportunities that arise in our lives.
6. Through Impressions and Convictions:
• Example: Have you ever had a strong feeling or conviction to help someone or make a certain decision? Romans 8:16 says the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts, giving us these kinds of nudges that can guide us in our actions.
Conclusion
Whether through dramatic encounters like Moses had, or through the everyday moments of life, God is always speaking. By paying attention to how He communicates—through the Bible, the Holy Spirit, prayer, other people, circumstances, and inner impressions—you can better hear and understand His guidance in your life.
Practical Examples of Hearing the Voice of God: part 2
Hearing God’s voice can feel like a mystery, but it’s often more about learning to recognize how He speaks to us in everyday life. Here are some real-life examples that show how you might hear from God:
1. A Bible Verse That Speaks to You
Imagine you’re feeling anxious about a big decision, like moving to a new city or starting a new job. You decide to read your Bible for some comfort. As you flip through the pages, a verse like Proverbs 3:5-6 stands out to you: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” This verse seems to speak directly to your situation, giving you a sense of clarity and peace. It’s a moment where God’s words are reaching out to guide you.
2. Feeling a Sense of Peace or Unease
Let’s say you’re considering buying a house or making a major purchase. As you pray about it, you notice you feel a deep sense of peace about going forward with it, while the thought of other options makes you uneasy. This peace or discomfort might be God’s way of signaling what’s right for you. Remember how Colossians 3:15 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts”? That peace can often be a sign that you’re on the right track.
3. Wise Words from a Friend
You’re struggling with a tough choice and decide to talk it over with a trusted friend. During your chat, they share a perspective or Scripture that really resonates with you and helps you see things more clearly. It feels like they’ve said exactly what you needed to hear. Proverbs 15:22 says, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” Sometimes, God uses others to give you the insight you need.
4. Open Doors and Opportunities
Picture this: You’ve been praying about whether to take on a new role or start a new project. Suddenly, you start noticing doors opening—people offer help, resources become available, and you receive encouragement from unexpected places. It feels like everything is falling into place. This might be God’s way of showing you that this opportunity is part of His plan for you.
5. A Sudden Thought or Impression
Sometimes, while you’re going about your day or praying, you get a sudden urge to call a friend, help someone in need, or take a certain action. This feeling comes with a sense of urgency or clarity. It could be God nudging you to take a specific step. In 2 Timothy 1:7, Paul talks about how the Spirit gives us “power, love, and self-discipline.” These impressions might be the Holy Spirit guiding you to act.
6. A Meaningful Dream
Every once in a while, you might have a dream that feels unusually vivid or significant. For instance, you might dream about a particular direction for your life or a calling you feel passionate about. While not every dream has a special meaning, some can be a way God communicates with us. In the Bible, people like Joseph and Daniel received important messages through dreams. If you have a dream that stands out, it’s worth praying about and seeking further guidance.
Conclusion
Hearing God’s voice is about recognizing the various ways He communicates with us in our daily lives. Whether through a Bible verse, a feeling of peace, wise counsel, open doors, sudden thoughts, or even dreams, God is always speaking. By staying attentive and open to these signs, you’ll become better at hearing and understanding His guidance in your life.
How to Hear the Voice of God: Part 1
Hearing God’s voice is something that every believer longs for, but it can sometimes feel challenging. The truth is, God is always speaking to us, but we often miss it because of the noise and busyness in our lives. Just like any close relationship, learning to recognize someone’s voice takes time, patience, and attentiveness. So, how can we tune in to hear what God is saying? Here are a few simple and practical ways to start hearing Him more clearly.
1. Spend Time with God in Prayer and Scripture
The best way to recognize God’s voice is by spending time with Him regularly. Think about it—when you spend time with a close friend, you get to know their voice so well that you can pick it out in a crowd. The same is true with God. When you spend time in prayer and read the Bible, you start to recognize His voice. The Bible is filled with God’s words, and it’s His primary way of communicating with us. As you dive into Scripture, certain verses will stand out or speak directly to your heart, which is often God guiding you.
2. Learn to Be Still and Listen
In today’s fast-paced world, we’re often surrounded by noise—whether it’s our phones, social media, or the constant stream of tasks and responsibilities. But to hear God, we need to make time to slow down and be still. Psalm 46:10 tells us, “Be still, and know that I am God.” That means setting aside moments of quiet to listen. This could be as simple as turning off distractions for a few minutes each day and just sitting in God’s presence. You’d be surprised at what you can hear when you give God space to speak.
3. Understand How God Speaks
God doesn’t always speak to us in the same way. Sometimes, it’s through a Bible verse, a feeling in our spirit, or even through the words of a friend or mentor. He can also guide us through situations or circumstances. For example, if you’re praying for direction and a door unexpectedly closes, that might be God’s way of saying, “Not this way.” God can also use a sense of peace or discomfort to guide you in decisions. The key is to stay open and pay attention to these subtle ways He communicates.
4. Be Ready to Follow What You Hear
God’s voice is always purposeful. He speaks to guide, correct, encourage, or instruct us. But if we aren’t willing to act on what He says, we might miss out on hearing Him altogether. It’s like this: if you only want to hear what makes you comfortable or confirms your plans, you might block out what God is truly saying. Approach God with an open heart, saying, “Lord, whatever You say, I’m ready to follow.” When you’re ready to act on His words, you’ll be more in tune with what He’s saying.
5. Check What You Hear Against the Bible
Not everything we think we hear is from God. Sometimes it can be our own thoughts or emotions getting in the way. That’s why it’s so important to check everything against what the Bible says. God will never tell you something that goes against His Word. So, when you feel like you’ve heard from God, ask yourself, “Does this align with Scripture? Does this reflect God’s character?” If it lines up with the Bible, you can move forward in confidence.
6. Be Patient and Keep Listening
Sometimes, we want answers from God right away, but He may ask us to wait or seek Him longer. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t hear anything immediately. God’s timing is perfect, and sometimes He speaks after we’ve spent time faithfully seeking Him. Keep praying, keep listening, and keep your heart open. God will reveal what you need to know in His own time.
Conclusion
Hearing God’s voice isn’t reserved for a select few—it’s something that all of us can experience. It’s about building a close relationship with Him through prayer and His Word, making time to be still, and learning to recognize the different ways He speaks. Above all, approach God with a willing heart, ready to listen and act on what He says. As you grow in your relationship with Him, you’ll find that His voice becomes clearer and more recognizable in your life.
