Its destiny

An 18yr old boy stole a phone from a neighbor that was valued at 55k, the boy was arrested by the police & his parents were asked to pay 250k to free him, the parents struggled & managed to raise the money for the police so as to bail out the boy, as they were driving home, the parents pleaded their son, "never should you repeat this kind of nonsense young man, don't you see how you much your bad behaviour has cost us................" The boy replied, "don't worry, your 250k, is here with me, I stole it from the drawer when I was being released"🙆🙆
Now😋 the question is if you were the parents:

The story of Ananias (and his wife Sapphira) is found in the New Testament in Acts 5:1–11. It serves as a lesson about honesty, integrity, and the consequences of deceit, especially in the context of early Christian community life.

The Context

In the early days of the Church, believers shared their possessions freely to support one another. Many sold their land or belongings and gave the proceeds to the apostles to distribute among those in need (Acts 4:32–37). This spirit of generosity was essential to the unity of the fledgling Christian community.

Ananias and Sapphira's Deceit

1. The Sale of Property:
Ananias and Sapphira, a married couple, sold a piece of property. However, instead of giving the full amount to the apostles, they kept part of the money for themselves while claiming to donate the entire proceeds.

2. Confrontation by Peter:

When Ananias presented the money to the apostles, Peter, through divine insight, confronted him:
"Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit...?" (Acts 5:3).

Peter emphasized that Ananias was not obligated to sell the property or give all the money, but lying about it was an offense against God.

Upon hearing Peter's words, Ananias fell down and died on the spot. His death instilled fear in everyone who heard about it.

3. Sapphira's Complicity:

About three hours later, Sapphira came in, unaware of her husband's death. Peter questioned her about the sale price of the property, and she repeated the lie.

Peter rebuked her, saying she had tested the Spirit of the Lord. She, too, fell down and died.

4. Burial:
Both were buried quickly, and great fear spread throughout the Christian community.
