Every day is a healthy living learning opportunity. Today we learn about Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It is a common gut disease that affects one in five people at some point in their life.
Symptoms include stomach cramps, bloating and either constipation or diarrhea. Becomes mostly severe at the thirties. Leads to weight gain and acid reflux.
Mainly caused by the 'biege' diet that involves foods such as sandwiches, toast, pasta, pizza, chips and other rushed and carb-heavy meals that are consumed infront of a TV. Late dinner is also a major cause.
Medication may not solve the issue because it is caused by a bad eating and lifestyle habits. As a gut researcher and expert, I would recommend them to do the following eating and lifestyle changes.
1. Reduce booze intake
2. Spend time for lunch and avoid late dinner
3. Be on bed before 10.30 p.m for at least 4 days in a week
4. Cut consumption of all dairy for four weeks
5. Cut wheat for four weeks
6. Switch to browner grains that are less digestible
7. Two tablespoons of Fix_T.Kombucha diluted with water before meals
8. Increase intake of bitter greens to increase the digestive juices.
Generally, make your food more colourful by increasing coloured grains, fruits and vegetables.
After the four weeks, you will cut between 3-5 Kgs
If this does not work or your condition is more severe, we use a more extreme approach.
