We’re thrilled to share something truly special with you all—*Climb for Hope: Honoring the Women of Kenya*. 🌍✨

This April and June, we embark on a powerful journey to climb Mount Kenya, a journey that goes beyond the mountain. It’s about restoring hope, dignity, and healing for the incredible women who suffer from female pelvic fistula in Africa. In collaboration with Dr. Hillary Mabeya and his team at GynoCare Women’s & Fistula Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, we are supporting their mission to provide life-changing surgeries and cervical cancer care to those in need.

The objective of *Climb for Hope*—linked to the title of this campaign—is to ensure one operation every week of the year, for the affected women, providing them with the medical care and hope they so desperately deserve.

Led by mountaineer Mostafa Salameh, surgeon Dr. Maher A. Abbas, and cinematographer Leonardo Abezzano, this expedition will not just be a climb—it will be a movement. A movement to honor and uplift the brave women who face unimaginable challenges, yet continue to rise with resilience. 🌟

Nearly 2 million women in sub-Saharan Africa suffer in silence from childbirth injuries, female ge***al mutilation, and more. Their stories inspire us to act, to bring change, and to make sure they are no longer forgotten.

The journey will be captured in a powerful documentary, co-directed by Mostafa and Dr. Maher, highlighting the heart of this cause. With your support, we can bring awareness and inspire global change.

A quick message from the operating room! Dr. Abbas & Dr. Afshin are excited to be joining campaign_52 this April. We will be in Eldoret between April 1-11.

As part of the campaign all team members are gathering and/or purchasing surgical supplies to outfit operating rooms and the cervical cancer screening clinic. Here team lead, Dr. Abbas, shows off one of the many pieces being shipped to Kenya for Gynocare!

January is cervical cancer awareness month and our Kenyan colleagues are doing more than their part! Over 1,000 girls have been vaccinated and over 500 women screened leading up to the campaign. Cervical cancer is unique in that it is preventable or curable if caught early enough. Join us on this most important mission!

In 2025 the campaign team will tackle issues related to cervical cancer in addition to treating women with obstetric fistula. Over 5,000 Kenyan women die from cervical cancer annually. Join us as we partner with Gynocare address this preventable tragedy.
