Pumpkin run in Ikego

Halloween is right around the corner, and that means it's also Pumpkin Run time! Join us in Ikego at 9 a.m. on October 22 for this annual CFAY tradition! Fall 2022 HVAC Changeover

In support of Navy/National Energy policies and completion of equipment preventative maintenance, Fleet Activities Yokosuka HVAC changeover period is planned as follows:

Cooling shut-off: No sooner than 20 Oct.
Heating turn-on: No later than 23 Nov.

Expect four weeks of no heating/cooling.

Beginning October 11th, these countries do not need a Tourist Visa to come to Japan.

Fish Market demonstration

On Sunday, October 2, 2022, Yokosuka Fish Festival “Yokosuka Sakana Matsuri” will be held at the Yokosuka Fish Market in Yokosuka, for the first time in three years.
This is an annual fish market festival where visitors can "see, eat, buy, play, and learn" about local seafood. There will be a "Dancing Tuna Cutting Show" that tuna will be cut off while dancing to music, a "Egi (lure) coloring experience," and a "Fish Touching Pool" that children can also enjoy.
The event runs from 7:00 a.m. to noon, so why not wake up early and head out?
VENUE: 3-5-1 Heisei-cho, Yokosuka (next to AVE super market). Parking available near the venue but limited or take train to Horinouchi Station on Keikyu Line and 9 walk 9 minutes.

FYSA and for planning purposes: CFAY's Trick or Treat will be on Monday, October 31st. More details and information will be posted as we get closer to the actual day, but we wanted the community to know that the date for Trick or Treat has been set.

Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka is monitoring Tropical Cyclone 16W (Nanmadol). As of now the installation remains at TCCOR 5.

The installation will continue to assess current conditions and provide updates. Please continue to monitor Commander’s Channel 28/45.1, Weather Channel 16/45.2, and CFAY’s page.
