A total power outage will take place on Sagamihara Family Housing Area on Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to check the operation of the power transmission system.

We recommend that you:

- Check your flashlights and batteries now; avoid using candles as they can cause fires
- Ensure your phones, electronic devices are fully charged before going to bed
- Disconnect your appliances and electronics to avoid damage from any electrical surges
- Keep freezers and refrigerators closed

Last week, BG Martine Kidd, US INDOPACOM J4 Logistics, completed a site visit of Yokohama North Dock, Japan.

836th Transportation Battalion, in coordination with 10th Support Group, 765th Transportation Terminal Battalion, and 403rd AFSBn-NEA provided a deliberate capability brief to BG Kidd, which included a vessel tour on a Logistics Support Vessel (LSV) as part of the J4’s site visit to Yokohama North Dock, Japan. Attendees included members of U.S. Forces Japan (在日米軍司令部) J4 and U.S. Army Japan G4.

The strength of the Department of Defense is our unity and shared purpose! Joint command discussions promote shared understanding of the resources, capabilities, and sustainment challenges across Japan and highlight logistics operations in support of the Indo-Pacific region.

On February 21st, Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Weimer recognized SGT Popoca for her commitment to the warfighter and contributions to the mission providing strategic surface deployment and distribution capabilities throughout USFJ and the USINDOPACOM AOR.

SGT Popoca demonstrates exceptional leadership and expertise, consistently enhancing operational efficiency and mission success. Her in-depth knowledge of logistics operations enables seamless coordination of critical supply movements, ensuring mission readiness. Her proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to train peers in complex logistics procedures significantly improves unit cohesion and operational effectiveness. Her efforts are pivotal in optimizing battalion operations and maintaining logistical superiority.

SGT Popoca plays a vital role in our ability to execute key vessel operations supporting join and multinational exercises, while simultaneously performing her duties within the Battalion S3 Operations section.
