Our concert in Tokyo began with Musica Slovaca🇸🇰 by Ilja Zeljenka, performed in an arrangement for string quartet, setting the tone for an evening dedicated to Slovak contemporary music at one of the most prestigious concert halls in Asia.
Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre

An iconic work of Slovak music, Musica Slovaca sensitively yet expressively draws on the idiom of Slovak folklore as an authentic reflection of cultural identity.

The piece by the legendary Slovak avant-garde composer Ilja Zeljenka was performed by the outstanding musicians Vira Zhuk , Alexander Znamensky , Peter Mosorjak and Arne Kircher.

During our stay in Japan, we were also very happy to meet our friend Leo Konno together with his manager Manami and spend some time together at a table full of delicious Japanese cuisine. 🍱✨
Do you still remember our joint performance at the Bratislava Music Festival 2024 in the magical Koto Concerto by Dai Fujikura? 🎶

We were honoured to have our dear friend and phenomenal flautist Tosiya Suzuki at our concert 🎶.

Our bond has been shaped by many years of artistic collaboration and friendship. It was truly wonderful to meet again and share not only the joy of the concert, but also a visit to Kamakura — a historic coastal town near Tokyo, famous for its beautiful temples, shrines, and the iconic Great Buddha ⛩️✨.
