The Philippines' First Ever National AI Bootcamp will be postponed to the latter half of 2024 to accommodate the requests of academic institutions who would like to participate from all over the country. 【ANNOUNCEMENT】rinna to co-lead the Philippines' inaugural National AI Bootcamp

rinna Co., Ltd. Japan is proud to announce that through a partnership with DTI Philippines and Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba, the first ever Philippine National AI Bootcamp will be held on June 18th - 19th at Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba campus. This initiative aligns with rinna's recognition as one of the National AI Roadmap Strategist of the Philippines in a MoU signed with DTI last March 22nd, 2024.

Participating students will be introduced and immersed to AICademy - an AI System Development platform made by rinna that is already available in the country.

If your academic institution is curious about AI technology and are interested in upskilling your students with AI, then feel free to join us. Aside from the bootcamp itself, leaders in the field of AI in Japan and Singapore are slated to attend and deliver keynote speeches as well as panel discussions to interact with the participants.

【TEASER】The Philippines' National AI Bootcamp is underway!

Japan, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry Philippines (DTI Philippines) and Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba will be hosting the country's first National AI Bootcamp. The bootcamp will focus on introducing participating students to AICademy, an AI-driven service launched by rinna made in collaboration with Letran-Calamba's professors.

AI Guidelines for Business ver. 1.0 released by the Ministry of Economics, Trade, and Industry (METI) and Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Japan

Satoshi Funayama) of the multi-stakeholder collaboration process in creating the AI Guidelines for Business released by the METI and MIC Japan. These Guidelines aim to actively and cooperatively develop a framework that achieves both promotion of innovation and reduction of risks across the lifecycle through mutual cooperation among interested parties in implementing the common guiding principles, the important matters for each AI business actor, and AI governance. In line with the government's National AI Strategic Roadmap, DTI Philippines has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with rinna株式会社, a Japanese firm specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) development and innovation.

Through this strategic partnership, our objective is to cultivate the domestic AI ecosystem and foster greater understanding and utilization of AI among Filipinos while expanding the presence of AI technologies and expertise within the Philippines.

Further, rinna plans to establish an AICademy, that aims to integrate AI systems into the curricula of academic institutions throughout the country.

I extend my gratitude to key stakeholders who played pivotal roles in facilitating this partnership, including DTI Undersecretary for Competitiveness and Innovation Group (CIG) Rafaelita M. 【OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT】
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Philippines recognizes rinna Co., Ltd. as a National AI Roadmap Strategist for the Philippines.

Released in 2021, the National AI Strategy Roadmap was unveiled in the Philippines by the Department of Trade and Industry. It aims to create a triple helix model of synergy among the government, industries, and academes targeting the regulation and introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the country.

Fast forward to December 2023 and with the pandemic ending, rinna Co., Ltd.'s (Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan) Global Business Director, Alex Lagata had the privilege of meeting DTI's Competitiveness and Innovation Group Undersecretary Rafaelita "Fita" Aldaba Ph.D. to discuss about rinna's current efforts aligning with the country's National AI Strategy Roadmap. After several meetings and discussions about projects centering in AI Awareness and AI Technology, a Memorandum of Understanding has been officially signed by both parties that ignites the start of rinna's collaboration with DTI today (March 22nd, 2024).

rinna Co., Ltd.'s notable projects involves strengthening the Academe-Industry Partnerships of AI R&D in the Philippines with AICademy, an AI System Development curriculum made together with Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba that is now currently available in the renowned Academic Institution. Another project involves supporting local AI startups by partnering with QSolutionz Philippines as rinna's official Partner Reseller for Virtual Human Solution.

With DTI, local partner enterprises, and academic institutions partnering with rinna Co., Ltd., the Triple Helix is achieved and projects are greenlit to start executing the National AI Strategy Roadmap of the country.

After the confirmation of partnership between rinna Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as rinna) and VMPowered Corp (hereafter referred to as VMP), rinna visited the VMP office situated in the Philippines through Alex Lagata, rinna’s Global Business Director.

Meeting with the management team, VMP and rinna held a product briefing, shared release plans as well as have a quick training to ensure that VMP will be ready to entertain and approach the Philippine market.
