Thanks for inviting me to our national celebration.
I was just wondering if we can call Sinterklaas party differently. Just to give off the message to people who don't understand how deeply rooted the systematic bias of racism is in cultures. I think everyone's little contribution helps to raise awareness and make the world a better place :)
To be straight forward and in line with the rest of the world, we can call it "Black Lives Matter". Or better, a name in our own language.

Even though Pride month was last month, in the Netherlands it’s next week it’s never a bad time to celebrate Pride! Therefore, Lighthouse Kokubunji is excited to present the Lighthouse Rainbow Pride Party on July 30th!
We will have a special limited rainbow themed menu with drinks starting from 500 yen (jello shots anyone ??). Of course there will also be (rainbow-themed) food so come thirsty and hungry!
We will host an OPEN STAGE too! Anyone is encouraged to join and perform so if you would like to dance, sing, or perform in any way please shoot us a message and we will be sure to include you in the planning.
Finally, there will also be a special performance from DJ KOHMAY (孔明)! So be ready for an intoxicating night of music and dancing!
Joining the party is free and anyone is welcome!
