Great news, school year applications are now open for Yokota’s School Age Care program, on MilitaryChildCare.com. Even better news, we will be running out school year program out of both our east and west side locations.

Don’t forget, tonight we will be hosting an open house of our newly renovated Kibo Center, which is where school age care will be running out of starting Monday 13 June 2022.

Please keep in mind CE will be working on the gates over the next several weeks. Right now both terminal and west gates are down to one lane each which will delay traffic to and from our facility.

Over the next few weeks, our 374th Civil Engineer Squadron will be upgrading physical security devices at all installation vehicle gates. There will be personnel working in outbound lanes which will incur corresponding lane closures and diversions. We ask that you use extra caution when driving through work areas. Please allow yourselves extra time to travel through the gates as delays are to be expected. For any questions or concerns, please contact the 374 CES Customer Service section at 225-5282.

A message from our FSS Commander —

Team Yokota,

Due to the steady rise in COVID cases on base, we are implementing additional temporary protective measures in our facilities to further minimize the spread of infection in an effort to protect customers, staff and the general community.

Things to Expect:

General

• Masks will be mandatory in all high traffic areas (signs will be posted in the facilities)

Child and Youth Programs

• School Age Care (SAC) facility is closed effective 30 Aug–12 Sep

Natatorium and Community Centers (Yujo and Taiyo)

• Children’s instructional classes are still permitted

• Unvaccinated personnel will not be allowed to participate in adult instructional classes, however, they may still bring their kids to children’s instructional classes

Samurai Fitness Center

• Unvaccinated personnel (to include unvaccinated children) will not be allowed in the facility [Per Wing PHE]

Indoor Dining

• Reduced seating capacity and increased social distancing in restaurants and at Club events

• No more than six people in a group dining together, unless part of an official function

• Unvaccinated personnel will be required to wear a mask at all times, unless actively eating/drinking

• Unvaccinated personnel are prohibited from attending or participating in large, official, non-mission essential social gatherings in the E’Club/O’Club [Per Wing PHE]

While these additional protective measures may be inconvenient, we are taking the additional necessary steps to ensure health and safety while still providing a level of customer service to Team Yokota. I appreciate your understanding and support in helping to keep our community safe!
