On Monday 12/12/16 we will be at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children's library to do readings of 'My dog Charley'!. This event is open to anyone who would like to come along... spaces in the story time room are limited but there are 3 sessions (09.30, 10.00 & 10.30) so plenty of oportunity to come along to listen and meet the author!.

I received some new priority flat rate bubble mailers from the post office today... good news is that this makes domestic shipping cheaper is you want 3 books! Previously to ship 3 books, I would've needed to put them in a flat rate box which would've cost $13.45... now that I have the flat rate bubble mailers which can accommodate 3 books, your shipping cost is down to $7.06! 4+ books will still need to go in a flat rate box. Almost sale time!!
By mid next week I should be ready with all my books and shipping supplies to get these lovelies out to you!
In the meantime, I wanted to tell you a little more about the book as up until now a lot of the focus has been on the fact that it's a true story about my our son Dayton & dog Charley... what is also really neat about the book is how engaging it is for a wide age range of children (infant through to young readers); due to the bright colors and simple, repetitive language. Also, how the language was carefully thought out to help young children learn; with consistent sentence structure and using an adjective on each page to describe the action. It's a great resource for helping children understand the link between a descriptive word and the actions portrayed on the page.
Finally... incase I haven't said this before... it is a board book! It is therefore tougher / less destructible for little ones who haven't mastered the art of being gentle yet!.
Can't wait to start getting orders out to people and (most of all) hearing what you think about the book!
