Special Announcement
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Yokota Chapel friends, In accordance with health protection standards; precautions and procedures are in place at the Friendship to protect each of you and preserve our mission. Thank you for your patience and perseverance over the past seven weeks. As each of us has relied upon our personal disciplines and technological avenues to sustain our spiritual connections, like other routines, we long for something more. While we will continue to provide live-stream opportunities for our Catholic and Protestant Sunday services; for those who wish to worship in person, you will soon have this opportunity. Beginning this Sunday, 10 May, Catholic Mass at 0900 and 1700 will be available. The Protestant 1100 Traditional service will also be available, and a 1500 Contemporary Service will be offered – all here at the Friendship Chapel, weekly. To ensure continued health protections of one another, we will need to limit the service attendance to 100 people while also observing social distancing and hygiene precautions. Masks are required while entering and/or exiting the building. Family units need to sit together and six feet from others. Once seated in the sanctuary, mask are still encouraged. We also will abstain from crowding in aisles, hugging, handshakes, etc. Additionally, fellowship, lobby-loitering, refreshments, etc. remain suspended. Furthermore, our nursery and toddler rooms are still closed. And, we cannot offer children’s ministries, programs, Kids’ Church, or Children’s Liturgy. However, Catholic Communion no-touch modifications will continue offering the hosts only - weekly. For Protestants, monthly, pre-package cups will be used. Moreover, electronic on-line giving for offerings will continue. Again, thank you for your continued patience and perseverance through this season. Whether you join us on-line or in person, we hope and pray that your soul is sustained, refreshed, and strengthened as we serve together. Go
