Religious Education is Now open!!! Please register your child or adult to attend RE classes. Furthermore, we are still in need of Catechists to help us run the Religious Education Program. Please consider helping the youth and adults of our community to grow in their faith and walk the path the Lord has put before us all. This Sunday, 15 October, the Sacramental Parent Meeting will be held at the Yokota Middle School (YMS) cafeteria at 11:00. This meeting will outline the specifics for to RE families whom have a child that will be receiving either Holy First Communion or Confirmation. At least one parent must be in attendance. Hello Everyone!
I am looking to stand up the Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) ministry and I am in need of volunteers. During Mass the children, Pre-Kindergarten to 2nd Grade, will be released from the Sanctuary space with their adult catechists to hear the Gospels at a child friendly level. In this environment, the children are better able to appreciate and remember the Gospel message of Jesus. The CLOW only last for the length of the Mass readings (20-25 Minutes) and then the children return to their parents for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. This will better aid the children when they go to Religious Education after Mass.

Holy First Communion is not too far off. If you are just now looking to purchase your child's outfit for that special day, here are the guidelines for their attire:

Dress Code for First Holy Communion

Girls:

White dress
White tights/stockings/ankle socks
White shoes (closed toe/low heel preferred)
White veil or head piece
No gloves or handbags

Boys:

Dark Dress Pants (black or blue)
White Button Down Shirt with Collar
Tie to match pants (black or blue) (optional)
There are First Communion ties that have a host and chalice on them, which make nice mementos (optional)
Black Dress Shoes (no sneakers)
Suit Jacket and/or Vest (optional)
