Kadena Strike DET! As part of our deployment work-ups, the Golden Falcons got RPD by working together to expertly load, take to the sky, and deliver weapons with precision. Additionally we got to flex our reach by integrating with the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force and take the opportunity to enjoy the local culture of Okinawa for the first time in two years! Well done WFGFs!!!

A CH-60 Seahawk Fleet Combat Support Helicopter assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Twelve (HSC-12), based out of Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan, retrieves a member of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Platoon 512 from the waters of Yokosuka, Japan to conduct a floating mine response drill. For more than 75 years, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families. HSC-12 was excited to participate in a joint Children's Christmas party this past weekend with our hangar mate HSM-77! We enjoyed spreading Christmas cheer to our Sailor's loved ones and as always, we were proud to deliver Santa safe and on time!

Three aircraft carriers train together near Okinawa as China ramps up pressure on Taiwan

“The USS Ronald Reagan, fresh off its deployment to the Middle East, met the USS Carl Vinson and HMS Queen Elizabeth on Saturday southwest of Okinawa, according to a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force news release Monday. They were accompanied by other vessels from the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Netherlands and Canada.”
