This photo is the pretty much the final version of the Cross Country Course for the next Advisa Race for Adults which will start at approximately Midday on Saturday 21st January. The rectangle shows the start/finish check in area.

As measured today its close to 1.65k and includes around 300 metres each lap of gentle soft sand running and 150 metres of wooded dry underfoot. On the grass and woodchip sections around 1.2k and includes some banks, soggy grassed areas, terrain through shrubbery and off cambers. Its a very achievable course for runners of all abilities. It doesn't need a spiked shoe though if you have them or a good Trail shoe you will be able to run faster than an ordinary trainer. There are no major elevation changes. Its a quick course suitable for Road runners and those not equipped for steeper Trail challenges.

I hope you will enjoy the same atmosphere that we create at all the Advisa Junior events. We have permission from the Sponsor to include an adult race. Any profits raised will be used to help IG athletes with the £1000 cost of the Guernsey games. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, £8 for unaffiliated runners. The event is licenced by England Athletics and therefore has an event Referee and abides to EA guidance/rules.
