Today, Z turned up with a book 3... That he'd written himself! We spent the lesson looking at how to compose more grown-up tunes, using rhythms and repeated ideas and starting and ending on the same note.

Excited about our Wunderkeys, KiddyKeys and Music for Little Mozarts recital this Saturday at 2pm, Jersey Academy of Music. Come along!

Soo.... starting to plan our first "official" MFLM recital at the Jersey Academy of Music. Trying hard to match student levels to the different pieces in our recital book!

MFLM small group piano class starting on Saturdays 12 noon at Jersey Academy of Music for children in Reception and Year 1.

Second group lesson today with my Tuesday students plus J and E who will join the MFLM programme properly in January. We will be singing our songs with Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear, playing keyboard and rhythm based games and eating jellybeans, amongst other things!

Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear have been having fun making their snowman friend and helping Clara Schumann-cat decorate her tree, while the children learn to play some Christmas songs. Well done this term, everyone!

Our first group session with my 4-5 yr old pianists was great. Thanks to J and her mum (Wunderkeys Jersey student still) for some fab piano themed cupcakes!

(And Steve the cello hold dinosaur, for no particular reason...)

Toddler/Preschooler music groups starting TOMORROW (Friday) at Jersey Academy of Music -
1:30pm for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years
2:15pm for 3 1/2 years up to school age

Both groups with parents/carers in attendance who will, of course, be expected to join in with my general silliness...

Hi students/parents. I have invoiced you all today. If you didn't receive an invoice it's because I don't have your email on the system, so please message me! Trying to figure out this automated malarkey which should save me time in the long run!

Mozart and Beethoven are looking forward to meeting A, E, J, J, L, N and P this term, as well as seeing our old piano friends and all the Duck Pond children!

Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear are looking forwards to visiting the children at the Duckpond Nursery on a weekly basis from September, to explore general music together using the MFLM classroom curriculum as a basis.

Starter packs for September already arriving! :)

We're looking forward to welcoming four graduates of Wunderkeys Jersey, N, P, A and S, to the Music for Little Mozarts course in September. E and J, who are a little bit younger, will be continuing with the WK books for another term but joining us for the Music Discovery Days. B, G and C will be continuing the MFLM programme with books 2 and 3. I've just ordered all the materials so that I can relax over the summer knowing that we'll have everything ready for you!

There are a couple of spots left if anyone would like to join us, and the Wunderkeys Finger Friends would welcome any younger children.

Well done to B (reception) who has completed book 1 today. :)

Busy day today - for some reason lots of people wanted to change their lesson times this week, so four of our young pianists this morning, all at different stages. :-D

Hi mums,

Some of your children are still too young to begin Wunderkeys, but I wanted to ask two things:
1) Shall I start taking names down for a waiting list?
2) Is there interest in beginning a mother+toddler music group for 1-3yos (music-specific rather than just including some music, but not piano)? I'll happily recommend Toddler Sense and Dramatots, but would try to make this totally musical. I have a programme in mind and a possible venue. Please comment if you're interested.

Congratulations on P for graduating from book 1 (and not having forgotten everything since her last lesson, which was a few weeks before half term - she's a busy little girl!).

Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear have been having fun riding ponies today... and entertaining a student's younger sister with silly songs as well! Meanwhile, congratulations to H, who is the first of our friends to complete book 1.

We're all getting excited about meeting some new friends after half term (except Ringo, who's shy)! Lots of printing out to do for the free trial packs... and Middleton will remind Julie to buy in some copies of book one...

Ponder Panda is so sleepy that he has to stop halfway up the ladder! Oh well, at least it means that our young students are learning about low, middle and high, and how to tell a story from left to right.

Our new students have been having fun riding ponies at Old MacDonald's Farm and playing "EIEIO!"...

Meanwhile, others have been discovering the notes D and C on the piano. :)
