Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their first music lesson with the jazz music service. For the next 10 weeks, they will be learning the viola and will perform for the parents in a special concert at the end. Samarès School are very grateful to the Jersey Music Service for this fantastic opportunity.
What a fantastic event! Bravo Jersey Music Service and Jersey Symphony Orchestra !
Well done to the Jersey Academy of Music students who took part !
A massive well done to all of Year 4 today for their string concert performance!
Over the last 10 weeks, each class have been learning about their instrument and how to play them in their weekly music lessons & then taking the instruments home to practice too. They then began the rehearsal of 3 songs ahead of today.

4B played the violins, 4F played the violas and 4M played the cellos.

The concert was fantastic and the boys did themselves proud.

A special thank you goes to the Jersey Music Service (Dan specifically) for coming in each week to teach each class and for leading today’s concert.

And of course, a huge thank you and well done to Miss Lezala who arranged for the boys to have this opportunity and for providing the boys with such a fantastic music curriculum at VCP!

Well done to all who attended the Jersey Symphony Orchestra Brass Workshop on Friday - such an inspiring morning at Les Quennevais School rehearsing, performing and finding out more about Ben Thomson and the London Symphony Orchestra

BRAVO to the 35 young musicians that attended our Brass Workshop on Friday morning, led by Ben Thomson and representatives of the Orchestra’s Brass section! It was such a fantastic morning, what the students achieved in such a short amount of time blew us away! Well done to all involved and a big thank you to our fabulous local and visiting musicians for supporting and inspiring those that attended.
