Hello everyone,
My name is Thanh Jegat, known as Precious (taken after my business name “Precious Moments Photography and Media”)
Almost 6 years ago, I visited Jersey for my very first time, never thought of moving to this island and settle here for many reasons. I was a TV Editor and News Presenter in Vietnam for 10 years, a busy life with so much excitement in the News industry plus the love for traveling all around the world, wouldn’t give my mind a chance of thinking about that. But here I am deeply in love with this beautiful island, having my own little family with the man I love, a gorgeous daughter that I had always dreamed of, owning my business and doing a job that I love so much and have so many dearly friends who love me for who I am and willing to give a shoulder for me to cry on whenever I need.
3 years ago today I published my business which is Precious Moments Photography and Media. Trained in photography and videography at University, I had been doing photography since a young age just as a hobby. I decided to specialise in Newborn photography in late 2015 when I gave birth to my gorgeous daughter and falling in love with how innocent and pure new life was. Being a mother myself, I understand how important it is to catch these precious moments in time because we all know those tiny babies grow up way too fast. But I didn’t rush into this job as I know it requires special skills, especially when you’re dealing with newborns. So I slowly took all the needed courses. I’ve been specially trained in Newborn photography with many famous world leader photographers in this industry, trained in person as well as online classes, especially trained in Newborn Safety Posing.
But I don’t just simply copy my teachers. I love to be different so I want to make the images look like pieces of Art instead of usual newborn images you are more likely to see. I believe I create beautiful, timeless images that I know will never go out of fashion on your wall, not just for newborn session, but for any session you choose to have. I believe in creating a teary eye when you open your prints. I believe in creating relationships with my clients and value the opportunity to come into your life and capture these precious moments.

Maternity photography is also my great love. I want to show everyone that the woman is the most beautiful when she pregnant, carry a new life inside her is such a sacred mission. I want to empower all the pregnant women to love their bodies, to feel strong and beautiful as housing the tiny human inside them.

I always say I am living a fairy tale as I love Disney films and all the fairy tales since I was little. Some people would describe me as a dreamy and emotional person. For example, I listen to a beautiful song, I might cry, see a beautiful picture, I might cry, see sad things on the news, I might cry… Again I thought it’s ok to be emotional, just don’t let it carries you away.

So as an experienced, professional trained photographer, I provide a full service experience because it is my goal to make sure you don’t just only walk away with beautiful photographs, but also cherished memories of this most special time in your life. It is my priority to make sure your little one is safely handled at all times and that you feel comfortable in your session. I truly love capturing these precious moments for my clients and I hope that love shines through in every image.
