Each student in Year 7 is given the opportunity to learn an instrument up to Grade 1 throughout the academic year. Students are then offered to continue that instrument in Year 8. We celebrate the boys achievements near Christmas time with a VCOC concert! 🎷🎻🎺🎼
Which instrument would you pick?
Every penny of the money raised from our Carnival of the Animals project is for charity: half to Jersey Zoo, the home of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, helping to protect rare and endangered species from extinction, and half to support the sterling work of Music in Action with education and outreach programmes on Jersey.
Don't forget that we have lots of other events coming up, including 4 digital recitals by outstanding international artists on the Liberation@Home digital concert hall, a Concert at Sea on Saturday 5th June in association with Wetwheels Jersey and starring Optimistic Voices, a final musical walk around Rozel Fort on Sunday 6th June with amazing musicians from the Jersey Academy of Music: Flutasia, Academy Saxophones, Cor Jerrais and Suzuki Violins, and Liberty Spears - Mezzo-Soprano, and a live in-person concert at Les Quennevais School on Monday 14th June with a whole roster of incredible Jersey talent: https://www.musicjersey.com/liberation-festival
These young musicians will perform on the beautiful island of : at a castle, in a stunning church and on a bandstand.

Develop your skills at creating, recording, editing and mastering music with the guidance of an experienced tutor.
An exciting development here at JAM - After the success of our Music Production workshop back in May, Chris has very kindly agreed to set up a regular class!
You don't have to learn an instrument with JAM to join this group, but the course has been tailored to students in year 9 or older with some prior musical knowledge - you should be able to play a musical instrument (any) to around grade 4 level, or be at around the level suitable for BTech or GCSE music. If you aren't sure if you're ready, pop along to our Open Day on September 9th and have a chat with Chris.
